Still waiting to hear the State's take on the death loss........ They will not want to hurt their out of state hunters paying to come here so it will be interesting. They'll call it way short of reality so they will pull hunter's even if they only get the out of stater's back an extra year before they (out of staters) learn the truth, it's more $$$$ in their (the states) pocket.... JMHO

I had two guys from N. Carolina that hunt the Hallsie Forrest every year buy guns from me this year. They went on and on about the big deer they get there. Seems the biggest they had shot was a 3X3 that they had mounted and on their wall. They asked about hunting in SD. I told them it was too late for a state tag but to get ahold of one of the guides I know off the Rosebud Res. and see what he could do for them. They did and he was able to get them set up with permits. I work with the kid that is the guide that I put them onto and this kid is awesome. He gets very serious about his guiding and doing the best he can for his clients. He promised me a free prairie dog hunt down there this year. Seems both of these clients had been to Hallsie and bot too does. Then they came up to the Rosebud and hunted with this kid and both took 6X6 whitetails. They left him $1000 each for his services and promised to be back next year. He is very happy and after the prairie dog hunt I will be very happy. ;D I doubt that either of these guys will be back to NE next year. And they thought NE had big deer. ;D ;D ;D
