Yesterday I bought my christmas present , a new old model TT truck wheel was on ebay in forida with out a hub on it being sold as a potentual table top. I think it will find better use spining on my truck for $78 bucks, this was a rear wheel and they do not show up often in any condition let alone never used. I should have very good rear wheels now, and hope I have the rims for tires as well? if not they show up even less frequent than the wheels. DD I checked on the wheels I bought at your grampa's sale and they look as they are correct for the front tires & rims I bought recintly, they will do till better ones are found. So that $ 10 or 12 bucks was very well spent after all. Funny how things work out sometimes. Need yet to figure out the size of the rear wheels I will be useing before I buy rear tires. The 20" or 23" have me very confused right now as to just what has ben sold to me for shure, either is fine as long as I have enough of one size, sometimes I think both are the same?? And peaple are just mesureing differant? Maybe I can figure it out by looking at what can be bought for tires? I know 20x600 are avalible but never looked for 23 x 600 or will they becalled 30 x 600 ? or something? it gets a bit weired sometimes or seems so. just know I'm close to haveing the wheels whooped.

Well Bounce I guess part of my grandpa's memory will be in your truck..... Grandpa was a packrat as am I. This proves a point. If it weren't for us packrats people wouldn't be able to rebuild their dreams.............

Very true as I am useing many a packrat things including my own on this dream. Their will need to be changes as I go along, things over looked and things that just arn't repairable or not right but mostly I have everything Important now ecept I expect to likely buy a shortblock motor & transmision separtly, If I had the funds their is now each availible but I don't and they can waite quite a while as it would be good 1st to get mine out and open it up to see just what I do have, it just all may be better then I expect? Doors will continue to be the most difficult likely,at curent prices one can buy an entire truck just to get doors, this makes no sence........or does it?.......lol. Right now theirs a compleat truck in CA going around $700 last I looked but the hauling would kill me. Just ebay shiping cost is nearly half of my expences so far. Even though I get good buys the shiping is often about the same as the Item some times more. I'm in close to 1500 and half of that is shiping cost. But I know no other good way to find and have it brought to your door. One could line up a tour of collectors & sellers but your gas bill would likely get biger as well as motels. Pretty hard to get in a days travel for less than $250 in todays world in gas, food,& sleep and you need to be driveing a truck to haul everything you buy. DD, several Grampa's memorys are going in this truck, Yours, Mine & my ex brother inlaws grampa for the cab and Willy Fanta as he now owns their farm and gave it to me, Then think of all the parts I bought as their is grandpa's behind each one for shure. Maybe I sould call it Grampa's Expresss?

Guess the weight of one front tire & steel rim for the front wheel of a model T truck? This is with out the hub and wooden spooks. I just thought this was interesting as I found the weight on the shiping lable as I was moveing them out to my shop from my house along with other things that came during the cold weather. > > > > I was thinking dang theise are heavy and they are. > > Answer is: 106lbs each > I never would have guessed that my self even .... maybe 80# would have toped my guess. Of corse I found them in Florida, lol. Now this is true Bone Colector serris hear lol.

Well I think I have finaly come to a place in finding parts that I can gladly say good bye to e-bay for a year or so as I think I have now most everything I want that I can't find other places or at better prices. I will still need a gas tank and I want that new as most everything else I yet need. I may go back to e-bay for a motor short block and transmission but I can wait for all that for a year or more yet. Now it's time for the hard work, the manuel labor type. Visitors Wellcome LOL.

A pretty big day both ways I think, likely 10 to 12 hours? A very early start may get me back around 4 or 5?

Talked to sitting bull yesterday on the phone, checking on what if any parts he may have for a model T, Sounds as he has one restoerd car & a few car parts but nothing I could use. He did know of a good place in kansas for parts and volinteerd to work on any moter I may come up with but he did say he dosen't work cheep, thats likely still 1/2 price though. Just realy what I need when I do find a motor & trasmission to have someone to check it out right. Unless he has lost his mechanical mind in his old age their is likely no one around hear better.

I now have a compleate 1926 ford model TT truck, outdoors and in 6 building & the house LOL. Just cause I have it don't mean I woun't have to exchange parts of it for better parts, Like the motor & transmision to restore what I have would likely cost $4000.00 but to shop a working short block I'm hopeing 600 to 800 & 300 to 400 for the trasmision. I also either need a drivers door or someone to repair the one I do have cheeper than one can be bought?? I have know idea whitch way that will go lol. But I am pleased to have goten to this point so soon, beat any expectations I may of had last summer when I started looking for parts and bought a windshild wiper for $9.00 as the very 1st part. I do also need to find 8- 1-1/4" x 8" x 8' 3" boards for the floor of the box & 2- 1 x 12 x 8' 3" plus and one for the with of box The rest I have origanal & in very good shape from dads truck as they have ben sheded all thies years. So if anyone wants to stop by I can keep your hands and back busy while we visit. lol. I still need to make the Highmore SD. trip but waiting on the Center Garage as old Willam needs major attechen and right now I have to drive my mom's car till kenny gets to it. yeah seems kennys work is not holding & the crank is moveing back & forth front to back, found it when I had the seal put in the trany. Thats why it needed the seal.

Yes Jack Now the work begins, Sunday was my 1st day I acualy started the actual work, and was reminded geting old rusted bolts removed is much harder than thinking about it LOL. One bolt I have't ben able to remove yet is keeping me from lifting the motor & trany out. One head light is not removed yet as it is still rusted in the front fender brace. May have to get the torch and heat it. Planing on doing the Highmore SD trip this comeing sunday for the other T parts I bought up their.
