Yes jack, Bob has always treated me & my family as family. When my daughter carmen graduated from high school he provided her with a 1938 Packard limo for the ocasion with him as her driver. At the party my dad was looking it over and he gave him a ride also, something my dad thought was pretty special for shure!! I used the parts manual last night to figure out how the studs on the wheels work as I was totaly unfarmilure when looking at them. Turns out their is left hand threads & right hand threads with a large locking nut threaded over the main bolt, it says they are marked L & R, I think removal maybe a real job ? but it will help when turning in the correct diection. I need to get air in all 4 wheel locations so I can try and get it running and be able to move the truck around for other work & storage this fall & winter.

Bounce: I know a guy, who was a couple yrs ahead of me in school. His sister was in my class. Rick and his grandfather restored a Model A Coupe while he was in High School. And it became a passion! He has a knack for finding hard to get parts for old Fords. And runs a business supplying parts to restorers. I learned about his business when my uncle was restoring a Model A. Good Guy you might need to talk to. His name is Rick Birkenholtz and this is his contact info.

Thankyou, I am starting a list of numbers like this and expect they will come in handy and to good use at some point comeing. Today I checked out Larry the Cable guy, "WOW" I kept on driveing lol. it looked like game day in Lincoln. So I went on to O'Neil to check out a tip on a Millitary box, I did find it to learn the owner did not wish to sell it So I just had a nice afternoon drive and thats all.

Yesterday I was able to replace the T cab with a better on as someone I know has a farm with one and gave it to me and it is much much better, however it too is missing both doors. I would like to find doors but if I never do it woun't matter much to me, I just woun't need to open any to get in to go.

I think I like this model TT Truck project as much or more than any of my past gun projects. Guess it is something like back when I knew little about guns and next to nothing abour black powder shooting. I knew nothing about Model T's when I was given this truck, I still have much to learn but boy have I learned a lot about this truck & the model T in just a short time. No were close to expert but it's fun learning so far and is going to be a very satifying project for me, no dought in my mind now about that.

Ben trying to figure out How I want to run my Model t electricly, Origanal mag & coil boxes & timer, or a Baush type mag, Or with a distubutor and one coil, and I think one can go computerized? Pritty sure it will be Origanal or Distubutor and most likely 6 volt distibutor but their are very good arguments for Origanal. Does anyone hear have any Opinions? What ever way I go I need it all, don't think I have much of anything now that wount need rebuilt or replaced. I feel a Brand New distibutor is likely the cheapest and I am leaning that way right now, and I have plenty of time to decide but decideing may be good now as well?? One could work twards being able to run it either way as well I guess? I'm shure the distibutor is the easyest to do for me, but maybe in time one may like to be Origanal? And some say when properly set nothing will run better than Original as the spark is constant & stronggest. But it is finnigy at times as well, but if you know your stuff thats not a problem, or so they say lol.

Around hear anyway, I think it's a teach yourself deal, but that may be possible? But shure is likely a challenge for this mechanical & electricity dummy. then add old carburators ect. Just is I think I should start planing how now as I gather parts and wear to put the $'s and what should or could be left out. Last I checked a passenger door for a truck cab was right at $380+ on ebay and going up!! at that rate mine will never have doors. LOL. Realy what usualy happens in high prices on ebay like this is more doors will come out and after the small group that is looking fills up you can find what you want at your price. I am hopeing this is true begining this evening on radiators? lol.

A happy child hear this evening as I did snach a 1926 ford model TT truck radiator off e-bay for $122.50 or $167.24 with shiping, My bid sat on $51.00 till the last 10 seconds then two realy fast bids but I was still on top at the end of the 10 seconda. Funny how fast that 10 realy seems a lot more like 4 LOL. Anyway now if I asembaled all my parts it would now at least look like a compleat truck........ in very poor condition but yet a whole truck.....minis the doors......smiles.

That door ended up selling for $504 This should deffanately bring out the doors for a while, lol. I knew it had two stupid spoiled brats after it as after 3 peaple had all ready wrote to the owner questions, two more wrote this, Hi, I want your door very bad will you ship it to me? then came the real duesy the next guy wrote, Hi, I want your door very, very, very, bad. Will you ship it to me? LOL. As for me I too wanted it, for about $80 bucks lol. The cab sold also to one of theese clowns for $505 and it was in incompleat condition as to dash & windshild also & no better than the last one I was given free. DD their is a TT truck listed now in MO for $750 that I think is iterestng at that price, corse it likey may go higher? It has a trasmishion on it that if it alone was listed on ebay it would be listed for 450 to 650 just for it. I don't think they sell fast though but one never see's them cheap ever either.

+ 10 degrees, this is saying that buying that radiator may be about it for this year on the trucks as iron & cold weather do not mix with work for me well. looks as this season on restoring is pretty much over for me till spring. But I am happily amaized how far I got in finding parts for the TT truck in just a few short months. But unless I sell more guns for parts I'm pretty well done looking for more parts this winter as well and I need to find money for tires on the chevy truck as well. So this bear is about to go into hybernation till spring.

Well have bought more things while watching two cab doors sell for $1111.00 plus shiping and the cab brought 502.00, So far doors are just going up, hope the demand fills out soon. But I did score on a few things and waiting to see what happends on a few more. So guess I'm ready to sell a gun or two lol.
Found a site [Military Fire Apparatus] Were I was able to find picturs and INFO on my 1944 Chevy fire truck, Mine would be a Class 135 and 1016 made and depending on the manufacture maker of the fire body that number gets a lot less. Mine also looks much like the 325 class but some little diferances, mostly mine has a 3nd hose real in backend.

Yesterday was a big delivery day for the model TT truck, Hopefully soon I will be down to needing the motor & trasmission and doors. I'm working at getting the exhaust pipe & muffler now? The wheels I do have a lot but it is hard to know as well just were I am at with them, as size is a bit complicated to me yet and confuseing till I realy get working with them. I think the front had original 30x 3-1/2? I have real good wheels in 21 that may work? but not shure? Also bought rims and tires in the 30x 3-1/2 all mounted and holding air, I think the wheels I bought on DD's granddads sale a few years ago will work on them for now but they are far from fine. And as for the back wheels I have no tires as of yet But bought two good truck wheels but not shure the size as everyone mesures differant it seems to me and I have a bid on a 3nd nice wheel with no hub size also in question, then I have my dads wheels that may still be useable? in 20x 600 some truck rear wheels are 23 or is it how one puts the mesure to it? I am yet not shure lol. But in the end I am confident I will figure it out! The radiator came yesterday and looks real good to me, so am very happy with that I learned today of another electronc system to run a T motor for around $200 it fits in the coil box and looks kinda like coils and buzzs like coils but is all modern and you also must remove the roller in the timmer, "how it works" is still a mistery to me even more than the coils & timer lol. anyway I'm haveing fun.
