Probably going to need tires too Bounce. Those were on the truck when I bought it and brand new at the time. Michlin makes good tires but those are probably over 6 years old and have about 40,000 on them. Nice part is, most of the miles on it are all highway miles. Also getting pretty weatherchecked from sitting in the hot sun down in Nebraska. Did Kenny figure out what caused the slight loss of power in the truck??? I always figured it was from the oil leaking onto the wire's that go to the O2 sensor but it could also be something else. I had replaced all the sensors about 12,000 miles ago and the O2 sensor about 8 months ago but that don't mean one of them couldn't have gone bad between then and now. Sorry about the dent in the cab behind the door on the passenger side. It sits so high I had a hard time seeing some things and one day the wife was directing me closer so she could use the ATM machine at the bank. Really tight quaters. When she got done using the ATM I went to leave and hit it. Really tight turn. I asked the wife why she didn't tell me and she said "I was done using it" 5 years ago when I bought the Ford Expedition I was going to trade it. Rusty Eck ford told me the transmission was going out of it and offered me next to nothing in trade on it. I didn't say a word, just took it home. Bought the Expedition outright. Took the truck to my mechinic to check out and he said there was nothing wrong with it and just keep driving it. So I did. ;D Really pee'd me off at them and I called them up and told them I would not be doing business with them again.

You must have had more blond hair 5 years ago.........yu think? Them car dealers have a pretty high opinion of their ability to BS anyone. Somethings never change and car dealers and politicans never do. Or laywers to for that matter!! They all need a lesson from Honist Bill's LOL.
Kennys bill for Don Ereenbug LOL. pan gasket 35.75 6qts ol 18.00 moffla clamp 2.00 fl&a [can't read it] but thats my best guess as what it looks like 6.00 labor 200.00 tax 3.44
Remember the good old days when parts were most offten more than the labor? I do. It started to end around 1970

If you knew what it takes to replace the pan gasket you would understand the reason for the labor on the bill. ;D Ford says and this was 3 years ago that it should cost 800 to replace the pan gasket as you need to pull the motor to do it. Kenny unlike Ford, probably knows that it is easier to drop the front axle to get at the pan and takes a hell of a lot less to do. Kenny the last I knew did not have anything to check out the computer system on the truck although that has been a long time ago that I knew that and he might of changed but see how it runs and if the mileage is bad have it checked out. There was a lot of difference in how it ran in the last year and how it ran when I bought it. Mostly in gas mileage. Oh and no, no less hair now then I did at that time. Now its just shorter. I can wear a stocking cap to work and it don't mess my hair up at all. I'm a lot happier now and wish I had cut it this short a long time ago. Now I never have a hair out of place.

Well bill I don't know how it ran last year, but it seems to be running fine now? Whats the altitude diffrance from Sidny to Rapid? I shure do remeber the power differance in are dirt bikes at home and then in the black hills. They had a hole lot less power but were not fuel injected ether. Now my Harely is fuel injected and it too has less power in your hills, but hear it gets only 48 miles a gallon and in the hills it gets over 60 miles a gallon. I can only attribute this to the on board computer?

I can only attribute this to the on board computer? What does the difference between anemic and pathetic feel like? I always thought that Horse Power and Harley were Oxy-Morons. Just kidding man. I have a bunch of biker buddies that ride HD's. Luckily, it's easy to stay in front of most of them so that I don't have to HEAR them. I have one HD buddy that has a Low Roder Sport that'll eat me up though. It's got a 124 inch motor with A LOT of work. I saw the dyno slips on it that show 157 HP. That one will smoke my Vakyrie. But he's got $40K in his. I have $9200 in mine. Ride safe Bounce. Jabba

Yes and if he rides his harley much it will take that $40k every year as your Vakyne will never wear out or at least a long time and miles. But my standard HD road King does have enough for this old man anymore and I would not want to ride with you anyway!! Just to butt ugly.

I have to admit, I would like to have a Sportster. Have no intention of touring so a Sport would do me fine.
I used to work with a guy who rode a 1948 Harley that was totally decked out. He would bad mouth the Ricers to no end. His favorite line was "this Harley was built in 1948 and it's still going, wheres your Ricer going to be in 10 yrs?" What he forgot to mention was he tore it down every winter and put another $7,000- $10,000 in it, to make it faster and more reliable. ;D He was part owner in a Chopper Shop, so I wonder how much of that He wrote off as business expense?
I knew anothe guy who worked for Axtell Machine(Famous Harley engine builder in Des Moines) who had a Sportster stroked to the max, and he could not ride it at night cause the vibration would shake the filaments out of his headlights??

I addmitt I never wanted a Harley untill they revoved the kick starter LOL. Today they make very confrtable & reliable riders. But if you want a screamer it will cost you plenty and the reliability goes out the window. Its still thousands every year if you use it. You can do a few things to perk the porformance though with out the thousands every year and you will not lose sight of jabba. But if you want Jabba chaseing you it will cost you a ton of money and your ride and lead in front of him will be short.

My Honda was built in Marysville Ohio. I don't like the vibrations of even new stock HD's. I don't like the vibes on new Metric twins either. My Valk is a horizontally opposed 6 cylinder and yields about 100 HP.
Now gas mileage... that's a whole different story. I usually get about 27 mpg on my MOTORCYCLE!! I'll get 33 to 35 if the wife is on, and we're not on the highway.

Now I think my HD Road King is very smooth, yeah it shakes at idle but just give it a bit of gas and that stops, Never road the 6 ciliders but the 4's seem smoth but zap you after a 150 miles with a mini zaping vibration that tires you out all of a shuden the thupers do not do that to you, you can handel what you feel with them. and on mine thats nothing. My old body don't like any long rides much anymore but probibly like being massaged by a thumper the best.

;D Odor free or you just couldn't tell the difference from before and after. ;D ;D ;D By the way, hows it running. I kind of got to missing the old boy a bit. Kind of wish I had kept it to be used for hunting rather than using the Sup Crew BUT I cannot complain something had to go and I sure didn't need more vehicles sitting around the yard than I have now. Wouldn't be long and I would be like Red and have to mow the front yard to find the refrigerator just to get a beer. That is if I could find the mower. When I put the Sup crew in the garage it has 2" behind and about 16"s in front if I park it just right. Any longer and I wouldn't be able to get around it and make it into the house. I do hope you put new tires on the truck. Those Michelin tires are 7 years old and just a bit on the weather checked side and wore out side. ;D Really wore out.
