Does not sound like anything has changed. I always liked it when I lived just down the street from Kenny's Garage. I could look out the window and see where he was at with my vehicle. If it was inside it was getting fixed and if it was outside it was done. That or he hadn't had time to get it inside yet. ;D Patience is something you need when dealing with Kenny Bounce. That and a handy checkbook. If you pay when you pick up your vehicle it always seemed that the next time it got done a bit faster but if you didn't then the next time might be a long time. ;D

I remember the time I bought a 79 Ford LTD for a patrol car. Original mushy suspension, a bit anemic in the power dept with a stock 351 Windsor 2 bbl carb. Single exhaust. Total grandpa car. and had 80K in miles on it. I went to Yankton and bought the suspension, exhaust, new HD shocks, and a bunch of other goodies from the junk yard that had a wrecked 80 Ford LTD patrol car. I waived a wad of bill's in front of Kenny's face and within 2 days I had a car that ran like a raped ape and handled like a rally car. I remember one trip from Verdel to Santee which is 30 miles with one town to go through and more than one turn, and a deputy that needed assistance bad and I made it in exactly 15 minutes. If someone asked me to do that today I am sure it would take me at least 45 minutes to do it. ;D Another reason I don't do that any more. The thirst for the Adrenalin rush is gone. Yup I was an Adrenalin junkie for a good part of my youth.

Dep-Don, remember the 112 Mile pursuit I had with my 78 Ford LTD II patrol car. ;D ;D ;DI think that pretty much took all the goody that it had left in it. After that it was pretty much ready for the iron pile. Then you entered into it in the middle of the chase with your Chevy Impala and you tried to spin the guy out on a corner and missed and ended up in the Bear pit instead. Thought you were a goner until you all of a sudden came flying out of the Bear Pit and came bouncing back onto the road again. Bout crapped my drawers. Then you ran out of gas. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D. That car of yours was sure fast but it also drank gas.

I remember after I passed everybody (they had a 13 mile head start on me ) I looked back once and swear there was a mile and a half of red lights behind us!!! It was a night time chase...ROFLMAO And yes I run out of gas but I was far enough ahead of everybody that I was out of my car and waiting along the road for you to pick me up. I seem to remember 2M's tryed to spin that little SOB out too... That freak could drive!!!! Oh yea AND I remember the dog pile by all the cops wanting their piece of him after I jerked him out of the car BEFORE he could grab the big assed butcher knife beside him and someone hollered "KNIFE!!!" ( Thanks Bill!!).. I being the first one on top of him got kicked and beat darn near as bad as the bad guy under me!!!! ROFLMAO THAT WAS A CHASE!!!!! LOL Thanks for the memories Bill!!!

Their all amitchures, All my chases had 429's and 427's behind me and were all diven by pallice gaurds the best the state had to offer and they never got to write a ticket even. LOL. And this went on for years. I know I retired long before they did LOL.

Wow... LEO chat.
Not that I mind... I wisj I'd be able to come to the get together and sit around the fire and listen to some stories.
I have only ever been on the OTHER side of that chase. Only once... and I got away. 2:00 AM and I shot past an LEO who was at a stop sign pretty uphill at 130 mph plus. By the time he got out onto the road, I was 1/2 a mile down the road. I killed my lights and made a turn off into the school campus in the dark... across the practice football field and behind the elementary school and stopped with my e-brake. I sat there and watched while the officer came to a 4 way stop with no idea of which way I went. He rolled the dice... (there was no correct choice by the way) and sped off. I simply went the same way he did just after he did... and my house was 200 yards away. Then I parked in the back yard and went into the house hoping there wouldn't be a knock on the door.
There never was.

If the guy would have found me, I'd have come along peacefully.
I got stopped once, I thought for speeding. I was on the bike... and when I pulled over the guy said... step off the bike, and place your hands on the back of your head... I thought to myself... "I couldn't have been going THAT fast!"
Well, I guess I matched the description of a guy that had just done domestic battery in that area. I cooperated, ad they didn't beat me, and in about 30 minutes they let me go after the beaten woman confirmed that I wasn't the guy.
That is the ONLY time I have been cuffed.
