So far I have driven the new old truck about 100 ft in the carport the night we got home. With all this cold weather I have all most forgot I have it. Will have to warm up soon I hope so I can get the oil leak fixed and get it inspected and licenced.

Bill you got that gas phifining down pat. Both gages read empty. So I put in a gas can in case I did not make it to town with your old pickup. I diid make it and filled both tanks. Front one took 15 gal and back one just a little over 15 ga so I'm guessing thats about what they hold too? Then I whent and got it licenced $10 for T/M's & $10 for title & $84.50 for tax & licence. Now for the Oil leak next week. Kenny says he bets it will need a new pan, said most do. I don't under stand this yet but he says it's caused by the paint they used? Got me??? But it did drive real nce and I made it home again.

My brothers pan gasket had the same problem. He didn't replace the pan and his boys did the work. They just put in a new gasket and were careful about how they tightened it up and he never had another problem with it again. Ford says its the gasket that was the problem and made a replacement gasket for it from different material. Maybe Kenny knows something Ford dose not. One of the tanks is a 20 gallon tank and the other is a 15 gallon tank. I very seldom used the back tank and mostly used the front one. Never went far enough to need the second tank. Have him put the truck on the computer and check out all the electronics as it showed a distinct loss of power the last time I drove it and I suspect either the mass airflow sensor or throttle positioning switch might be going bad. Other than that Tires were the only thing it really needs.

Took old Sir Willam to the center garage yesterday to fix the oil leak. So far I did use Old Sir Willam 111 for bringing home my deer meat. So far the old fella seams fine other than bleeding all over the concret. Seamed to be most happy though when he was hauling last years left over deer meat to my daughters, I think it was that there was a good number of Hot Dogs left for him to haul. Must have brought back day's of Sir Willam 111 the Hot Dog King .lol or just weiner bill to the rest of us. lol.

;D I'm thinking there might be a story behind this "Sir William 111, the Hot Dog King" thing..... ;D Don't know if we'll hear it, but there just might be more than one version..... ;D

Ok, I will tell the story. ;D Or my version anyway. Shooting a Muzzle loading match kind of got boring for me. Became too easy to either win or be in the top end of the winning group. About that same time the Upper Missouri Muzzle loading Club had one of the most awesome ranges a die hard black powder nut could ask for. It had a quarter section of ground with 3 ponds with decent fishing if you were patient and all the range you wanted. We put in a hand dug well and a shoot shack which I and Mert C. went down south and picked up a huge trailer load of cut cottonwood rough cut boards and and sided the shed with this and put up an awning for people to come to windows to buy their targets and pay for the matches at. Worked good in the summer and winter. We even had some shoots in the winter where we sat inside and shot out the windows. We had a shelter belt that we could run matches in where you had to shoot, throw knives and hawks, or maybe even a spear or bow for that matter without endangering anyone. We had a barrel on chains which we put a saddle on and you had to get on it and be rocked back and forth while you shot at targets and loaded your gun. All while some butt head rocked the crap out of you. You didn't want to have the high shooter rocking while you shot if he thought it might be possible for you to beat him. ;D ;D Anyway, I got bored with shooting matches at that time and having my term up as an officer I tried to think of something that would bring in money for the club. SO I got to work and went to the local grocery store and such and got them to donate hot dogs and buns and candy and such. The club paid for the plates and napkins and coffee, pop and Styrofoam cups and other condiments. Some of the guys thought this was just too expensive but I persevered and got it done. We had a wood burning stove in the shoot shack to keep us warm in the winter and so I used it to boil hot dogs and make the coffee. I had a huge cooler that I kept the pop in and a shelf for candy bars. I knew if this failed we would be in the hole for a whole bunch but figured what the hell. ;D Well when the dust settled and the 2 day shoot over with, I ended up making more money for the club by doing that after all the bills were paid then the shoot itself brought in. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Plus I ended up with the name of Wiener Bill. A fact that I was quite proud of. Oh I still shot and shot a lot but not during the matches. Mostly by myself on my days off. Enough that I actually improved my shooting over what it had been when I competed seriously. And every now and then one of the guys like Mr Braun would get to blowing how he was going to win this or that prize. Usually a rifle or something worth a bit of money. I would wait till he had reentered a few times and when it looked like he or whoever had done their best I would buy one set of targets and go shoot and then go back to selling hot dogs. My greatest pleasure was seeing some of the new guys standing at the score board reading who was in first and saying "Who the HELL is that" The all knew me by Wiener Bill but that wasn't the name on the score board. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Then when the dust cleared I would donate the prize back to the club. Really PO'ed Mr Braun when I did that to him a couple times. He almost quit talking to me. For about 5 minutes. I was always kind of proud of that name as during the years I did that I made some really good money for the club and we had a prosperous club for a number of years. So that's how I got the name of Wiener Bill

Well heck, that's not so bad... ;D I was expecting a much wilder tale than that. Of course someone else may choose to embellish a little.... ;D

Imagine how that story would sound if Red were telling it ! ;D Bill, it sounds like you did something to be proud of for your shooting club.

It wasn't just me, Two Moons is a past president, I'm a past president and Bounce was on the board and Dep-Don was at times and very few times a paying member. Mostly he would tell someone, "Give me a membership, I'm good for it" and he wasn't. ;D Or should I say was but if he could get you to pay for it he wasn't adverse to letting you. During those times though we had the largest ML club in the state of NE even though we weren't the state club or the one that thought it actually was the state club and held the shoots. They didn't even recognize us as existing most of the time. Am I proud of what we did, YES. Very. A lot of work and at times a big pain in the butt but very very COOL.

By the way, I had just put a new 1000 amp battery in it before I moved up here. Even if it don't run quite right it always starts. You might also have him look at the wires that run back to the O2 sensor as their both pretty oil soaked from that pan gasket leaking and maybe that is the reason it just didn't have the get up and go it use to. Son in law always told me it was the Mass Air Flow Sensor. I always thought, HOW THE HELL WOULD HE KNOW. Don't tell me if that's what it really is. I would really hate to have to start believing him now.
