Well last friday I finaly got all 4 new tires on Sir Willam, As I was takeing the old ones in the barn I felt I gave in to soon on them old ones as man are them suckers heavy .......Way to heavy to be woren "out" LOL. but it is nice to have new ones for winter and I noticed I stoped spining the back bald ones every time I try to start to move so traction is much better but I hated to part with driveing on bills dime lol.

After takeing Sir Willam back home to Rapid City for a day,he needed a little fixing to the tune of $183.57 Both doors stoped opening from the inside & Row broke off the handel on the passenger side so now both sides have new handels. The big cost was the Fan Clutch went bad. Just lucky it held together till I got it fixed or I would have had to add a Ratiator.

That does not surprise me that it made it here and back. I was not all that long ago that I was driving it that far on a regular basis. What does surprise me is all that has gone bad. But then again its at that point that it was probably ready to. I can't figure out the door handle thing though. Both at one time. Well if he made it this far your probably good to go for a trip across the US now. ;D

Well Sir Willam needs the left headlight crom plastic frame that goes around it all & the lower lenses for runing light & blinker. Yesterday in the dark yet east of Creighton 13 miles or so just shortly after 7:00 AM Willam took a hit from a Roster pheasant at about 45 miles an hour. I was takeing Phil S. to get a tooth pulled in Yankton and he needed a driver. The real interesting part of this trip for me was after Phill woke up he still did not know they had his tooth even yet and they gave him the bill....lol ....lol $670.00 bucks!!!! The look on his face was priceless. Sad part was Center Garage did not have my needed part.

Well the good part about it is that the parts didn't just fall off or wear out. That truck hunts even when your not.

Sir Willam won't start today, just clicks, so I think the battery is ok? but it may need tested to make shure. If it is ok this could be a big problem to get fixed right now.
I just called kenny and tured it over to him, best answer I could think of to fix it but it will likely be a while.

Well that fix worked out well, I did not even know Kenny had picked up my truck even when DD stoped by and said it was siting out down at Center. A quick call and I was told it would be ready if DD gave me a ride to center as he did. Kenny had to put on another used starter. Total bill for comeing & loading my truck and hauling it to Center and installing as used starter $101.40 I wonder if it's still starting in 6 mo. if I should not get a brand new starter? But I have had new ones fail also. It seems starters today fail with out warning as to years back when they would warn you by draging for two weeks 1st.

You should buy one and keep it as a spare behind the seat. Changing that starter would take about 10 minutes. Two bolts and 2 wires if I remember correctly. Save the tow bill next time.

Sir willy has ben down for quite a while now as the new crankshaft put in when the oil pump went out was moveing front to back about a 1/4 inch, Kenny finaly has it apart now and in about the middle of the crank one of the rod bearings has woren the side of the crank in a 1/4 inch the bearing was not woren at all. now how does that happen? Other than just to me.

Sounds to me like a bad crankshaft. That or one of the journal oil holes was plugged but that makes no sense if the bearing wasn't worn. I'll go back to the first comment.
