Well I tell you what Sebastian. If you ever come over to the central US again for a shoot I'll try to make it. It doesn't matter what state you're in, a squirrel's a squirrel and they're all hunted the exact same way (for the most part). There should be plenty of public ground and temporary day permits should be 5-10 US dollars (80 bucks at the very most for a nonresident one year if day permits aren't available). As far as any forgein paperwork, I'm not sure. It depends on the state. If it ever got to the point that you wanted to come over the states and hunt any type of game, I'll help you find this information out. We'll carry on a US tradition of trashing the hotel room. The maid will come in the next day when we're long gone to find that not only we stole the soap, towels, toliet paper, and instant coffee packets --- but that we left splattered squirrel grease all over the walls and bed from frying squirrels with a propane stove Hell, we might even set the fire alarms off with the burnt smoke ;D ;D ;D

Sebastian, the best time to hunt the squirrels is when they are in full rut. however i am going to warn you a .22lr might not be enough, it is during that time some folks like red will go to the smaller centerfire.

Jeeeezzz Red...I guess it's just ONLY your's "US tradition" BTW, didn't I say that I will go to the US/Ohio again next year (2007) (If I say yes, so it would be). Bill, YES you're right, lol. JimH, thank you for your "warning". I think I should try for myself....I might be wrong, but I have a belief that I can shoot this little critter instantly even with just an airgun.

I went bow hunting yesterday near fulton and drove to williamsburg around noon to shoot my 22 - planned to sight in the semi with the dynapoints and bolt with the minimags. Well it turned out the fulton jail reserved the range. So I got pissed off, drove a half mile down the road, just pulled over, threw 3 pepsi cans in a field at 40-45 yards, and shot off the hood of my truck. What's someone going to do, call the cops??? They're down the road BBQing... I shot 15 rounds of those minimags with the old Federal zero and they all hit the 2inch pepsi emblem circle with only a half inch reduction needed in elevation b/c of the higher velocity. So, I'm ready to go squirrel hunting on Sunday

Hey Jim, I went to Danville out in montgomery county and used some of those CCIs I got at bass pro. I got 4 fox squirrels in 5 shots - all hits. Two words Massive Trauma ;D One squirrel did give me a problem. I hit him low in the shoulder at 25 yards offhand when I was at the edge of a field. He went down and took off running before I could crawl under a fence after him. He did leave a blood trail that I followed - yes I blood trailed a squirrel I found him inside a termite tree were I fired a final shot inside the hollowed tree. The CCIs worked good

Chalk another 5 to the CCI mini-mags. This time out of the semi-auto. All were head shots and the bullet blew a hole the size of a nickel
