Here's one of my good stories I'm hunting the other night and skinning some squirrels in the parking lot. This other guy drives by and stops. He asked if I wanted a squirrel - that he only got one - and he got out of his truck. That guy had over 500 bucks woth of camo on - at least. Lacrosse knee boots, waterproof pants, 3-d leafy longsleeve shirt, and camo designer hat. He got out and looked at me like I was some kind freek in a old hat, wrangler bluejeans, and a camo t-shirt that had "ha now you can't see me" in white lettering. I am beginning to think squirrel hunting is beginning to be a fashion show like deer, duck, pheasant, and turkey.

No, I don't thinkso red!! The guy you are talking about and many others think it's just kool, and were that stuff 24-7. Maybe a chick tolled him he was sexy?? now he will never take it off. Several years back my home town got soft ball fever & all the old men got new uniforms!!!! They wore them for the next 5 years everywere!!!! Fad is over now, but every time I see one of theise guys I still think what an stupid ***

Bounce hit it right on the head.... ;D..I always get a chuckle out of guys in their camo at the mall, or in a restaurant with the family. I guess they think it somehow makes them cool, or sexy.. ...I'll bet their wives would treat them better later on at home if they dressed like a normal person.. ;D You don't think a place like Cabelas could make a living on people like me and you, do ya Red? My camo has always been mismatched and almost always quite faded. The day will never arrive when I replace a piece of clothing that isn't worn out. And that includes my "go to town" jeans as well as my hunting clothes. That guy you saw though, he will probably buy more camo every year because it looks cool, or covers his B.O. better, or blocks a 40 mph wind or attack from camel fleas or elephant ticks... ;D ;D

Amazing how many guys wear camo as a fasion statement. It always makes me think "oh great here's Bubba" When I worked for Cabelas you could tell guys actually put together an entire ensemble just so they could shop!

Me personally, I don't need expensive camo to be sexy. I need camo to sneak up on women Some call it stalking, I call it love...

I think you're right Donnie.. ..You never seem to see any blood on that camo they wear to go shopping or feedin' or chasing women... ...They must all buy special "going to town" camo and never let any blood get on it.

Let's not forget they have to have the brand new 2005 patterens. That revolutionary pattern of '04 is so out of date...

Oh man aint it true!? Completely matching outfits! LOL!!! The only time your camo should match is if, as red said, you are stalking err.. loving some unsuspecting woman

some folks just have too much $$ so they have to spend it on something. heck i have been guilty of buying brand new camo, well that was 15-20 yrs ago but i'll probably do it again in the near future. sometime i just can't help myself. every 15 yrs i want to go out and buy some new stuff.

Ha You guys have`nt seen nothing yet. My son wanted me to take a look at a little problem at his house,so we went out to get in his blazer. I told him I could not ride in that, there was no place to sit. He said Dad those are camo seatcovers.

Until you seen someone wearing a Tux made of camo you just haven't seen anything. Donnie should remember that one. :-) I have even seen someone say HEY I like that camo and the guy with him says but it don't match your location, you need this camo. Heck my camo for squirril hunting has always been a set of leather buckskin pants (golden brown) or use to be and a pair of moccasins made of moose hide and a red calico shirt and an old floppy hat. Seemed to work for me anyway. Dang squirrils would come out and start screaming at me for being in their woods and I would shoot them. My .32 cal ML worked fine for the job too.

I'm surprised at the number of youngsters I see parading around in camo. These aren't usually kids who hunt so it probably is a fashion statement of sorts. Actually I don't even own any camo cothing, but do have a good bit of field brown jackets and shirts. I can generally mix enough brown and green to stay fairly well hidden. If I want to get bizarre, there's a ghillie suit here from my sons Marine Corp sniping days. I'd probably be embarassed in that get up. Those things are really wild. I'm surprised girls haven't taken this over as a fashion statement. Red, what if the girl of your dreams shows up one night in full camo attire at your favorite watering hole? It's just possible you could miss her. Best wishes.

Oh girls have started wearing camo. You have the "bad ass" type that wears the camo hat all crooked. And then you have the want-to-be goth chicks that just couldn't stand all the black get decked out in either faded pants or a camo jeanjacket.

Talk about your snazzy looking hunters. I've seen several photos of British gentlemen hunters shooting upland birds at an estate. Now that's one stylish group, ascots, riding boots, tweed sport jackets. Even their handlebar moustaches are properly trimmed. Some of them are dressed better than me at my own wedding.
Best wishes.

I saw a girl 16-17 today in a camo skirt and high-heels.
I'm going to hell.
