For the last 4 weeks I have been shooting League Trap. They (the store) needed another person to shoot on the team and asked me to shoot with them. I hate trap. ;D I'm easily distracted and loose my concentration which in turn causes me to miss. So Thursday I work hard to concentrate on doing well trying to get 25 straight which has eluded me forever. On the first 3 stations I clean all three. I get to the 4th station and notice cattle walking down the fence line about 50 yds in front of the trap house. Well that took care of it. I missed the next three. I finally just quit shooting till they got past which none of them were in danger of getting hit due to the angle but they had already blown my numbers for the day so why make it worse. Once they got by I finished up without a miss. Ended up with a 22. Then we moved back to the handicap line and started again. I shot 5 straight and then moved to the next station. About this time here comes another cow bawling to her buddy's that had already gone by a again I blow the next three. Once she is by I shot the rest without a miss and ended up with a 22/22. Last week when I shot there was this idiot flying one of those radio controlled planes about a quarter mile in front of the trap house and it seemed every time I went to shoot up the damn plain would go right in front of where I was aiming. No chance of hitting it ( dang it anyway) but very distracting. I shot a 23 which the last station I shot is where it started missing and we moved back to the handicap line and it flew the whole time. So somehow I have to figure out how to concentrate as I'm not doing so well here.

All I can say Is "COW A BUNGA".
22 for 25 is very respectable. That one is harder for me as I am right handed and left eye dominate. Makes it harder for me to sight down the barrel correctly. Just something for me to work on next year.
I was shooting playing cards at the range on thursday. Not real windy but a small storm blowing in. I am at 25 yards and have all four suits for the royal flush on the backer board. I figured I could get 10 shoots on each card All in a nice tight group. Nine everytime and one that wandered away.

The faster the shooting the better he was....ALMOST unbeatable,,,,, BUT if you distracted him or slowed him down he COULD be beat........ So we always had Bounce come along as the offical "Heckler" LOL LOL LOL YUP THEM WAS THE DAYS !!!!!!

I'm getting this picture of Bill field testing one of Cabelas portable blinds right under the flight path of that radio controlled airplane. ;D ;D I wonder what the proper choke and shot size is. . . . . These days, kids whose attention wanders get treated for ADD (attention deficit disorder), with good success. People of Bill's generation, and mine, got a slap in the back of the head and told that we had to concentrate.

Jack - I suspect that I have had ADD my whole life. ;D Ya it affects a person but not as bad as a person would suspect. The only place I ever really noticed it was in school as it will really blow a test. WOOPS Use to piss my teachers off tremendously as I would score way high on my IQ tests and then come in with really low grades. Rather than figure out what the problem was it was way easier to just kick me out of class. ;D I enjoyed a lot of things in school that a lot of other kids didn't get the chance to. ;D ;D ;D ;D D-D the reason speed works as you lessen your chances of your mind wandering. Yup the faster the better. Plus the adrenalin rush helps a bit too. Jack - I think that some of the Heavy-Shot 3" loads in B shot that I have for geese would work well for pass shooting of RC planes. ;D ;D Might even prove interesting. D-D yup I knew all about that one. Only worked for about 10% of the time but ya it could work.

Maybe you can talk him out of the John Deere corn sheller that sets outside of the garage door. Needs new wood and repaint the John Deere logo on it. Tell him that I said he could sell it. Won't sell the cast iron hog boiler though. ;D For having a stroke a few weeks back he sure has come back a long ways, sharp as a tac yet. Bet he didn't give the stuff away. ;D ;D ;D He has a bunch of cabinet bases that will need a counter top which would give you a huge amount of storage. Just put plywood on the top.

The worst part is KNOOWING you can do it because I have seen Biill with a shotgun and if he WANTS to he can never miss. I use to have the same problem with PPC I would shoot 99% consistantly but soetime during the match I would SEE a bullet hole outside the black and follow it with another real hole. Once I shot a wandering fly at the 15 yard line, drilled him dead center in the 6 ring.
Glad to hear your Dad has perked up some again.
