After the loss of Panda last year I was on the hunt for a new buddy. While it took a while I have a new buddy. Black and white like Panda and it is looking that just like Panda, Koda doesn't want to be too far away from me and follows me where ever I go. Introducing here to some new noises in the workshop where she is always with me. There are toys and chews for her there and also treats. Two pictures below. One while I am working on the bench grinder and the other with the princess on what she thinks is her throne in the truck. She will get a lot of miles on the road this summer. A trip to upper New York state is on the calendar for the end of June/early July. Attachments:

I think I have a "daredevil" pup. She seems to show no fear on trying to do something. She will jump from something 3' high without a 2nd thought. The attached picture shows her climbing a 6' step ladder to get next to me. She was also able to climb back down. This could be a good or bad thing......time will tell. Attachments:

After much thought we have decided to have Koda spade. We really don't have 8 weeks to raise pups with our busy schedule. If we need another dog we can pick up a pup from one of the breeders I have worked with over the last dozen years or so. Koda has become a great grouse/woodcock dog. Last fall (her second year out) she did great. I noted that she is a better cold track dog than Gypsy is. She did have to learn what a woodcock smelled like but once she did she flushed them too. koda.docx (169.73 KB)

Our newest dog got spayed (rescue) and now she has problems controlling her bladder. After reading up on it, spays seem to affect about 20% of dogs. I don't know this little problem will point us in the male direction next time, we'll see how the next 12 years go...
