Boy howdy! Some body named Manless sent me a free box of guns! If I ever meet that fellow i will have to really thank him!
PBR they are hers and I will start on them next monday. I will copy the sliver blade front sight that was put on Wild Bill's 1851 Navy colts. If you want a picture for a sample let me knw and i will post one here. Also on the navy i would open up the hammer notch sight a liitlle and square it up for a good sitght picture. You will need to drift in the front sight and file it down for your load but i will try and get it close by using mine for a sample. BTW I looked through the whole box and didn't find the screw...

Ah, great.
Yeah, I figured the 51 would have to have the hammer opened. The blade you describe will be fine. With it being brass, I probably don't want to shoot anything hotter than 20 grains of 777fff. It came with a powder flask and I hope the guy didn't use the 35gr measurement. But yeah, reasonably close is ok but I'd rather file more down when I get it than it shoot high for me.
As to the wedge screw, the only one that was there was in the wedge when I shipped it. It was all mangled up beyond use anyway (as is the wedge). Sorry for making you look through 20 pounds of peanuts!
The 58 probably feels a bit sludgy. I coated that thing with bore butter a couple years ago and haven't touched it since until the other day where I wiped it off a little.
Thanks!
