While my work schedule has been nuts for the last year or so I have to get some time to get OFA and CERF certifications. I have these scheduled for February in advance of her late March/early April next heat period.
I have located a suitable stud that fits well with her UK bloodlines and is the right size. I needed a 30-35# stud as she is only about 30# and did not want delivery issues if I used a larger bodied stud.
I plan to have the pups eyes checked prior to sale. To date one female is spoken for as a stud fee and I have someone else interested in a female also. I wanted to keep a female too but if it doesn't work out I will definitely want pick of the litter from the second litter.

Took Gypsy in to get hips/elbows x-rayed for certification on Wednesday and she passed her eye tests today. Almost there. Funny thing was that while she went in the car eagerly on Wednesday she was not so eager to get in the car today. She wanted no more of that anesthesia stuff and wouldn't take any treats from anyone until we got back home.

Both exams have been complete and I have received the CERF certification and OFA has processed theirs and cashed the check. The certification # is on the check so now I am just waiting for the certificate. To date I have reservations for 3 pups and she hasn't even gone into heat yet. I sure hope things work out and there is a pup left for me!

Gypsy came into heat and I was able to take off from work to make the 3 hour trip. I stayed by our friends house 1/2 hour away. I made the trip 4 times but we were only able to get 1 breeding. Gypsy wasn't having any days 1 and 2. We finally got lock on day 3 but by day 4 the male was no longer interested.
I did get an opportunity to see the springer my buddy got a while back. He has a 2 year old psyco dog. He didn't want a liver/white from Gypsy so he fould a litter with a liver/white and black/white available. Of course he picked on sex and color and ignored personality of the dog. He now has an "up tail" dominant female that is giving him a lot of issues. He definitely has his work cut out for him.
I also managed to find a gun shop and got 150 rounds of both 9mm and .357. On my second trip I got a brick of .22 and also found some 28 ga #6 field loads in 1 oz. As an additional bonus a set of dies for reloading .30-06 at half price!! Pretty good find! ;D
