My buddy that I shoot with stopped in at Sierra Bullets when he was back home in Iowa last week. Seems they have barrels of bullets of every bullet they make there and they sell them by the pound and cheap. From the prices I seen on they sheet he gave me they were running about half the price of boxed bullets that they sell. These were also blems. Cheaper than what Midway sells them for also.

My buddy Matt is going back down to Missouri again and when he does he is going to pick me up 5 or 6 pounds of the Sierra MK 52 gr HPBT's. I looked them over (the ones he brought back) and all I found was some stains on the jackets. The weights were all good and none looked to have any imperfections except for the spots. No big deal and they should work fine for shooting PD's

Midway is growing, slowly but surly. Just another place to get good things and needful things.

Bought these and then those and a few of them. 35 grain and 55 grain .224's Never heard of the 35 grainers but they will shoot in the 222 real well I am sure. (If not I have a friend who we are doing up so hornet loads) The 55 grainers and the varget for dad's 22-250. I got some 250 grain for the 35 rem but I feel they are just to heavy for what I want but I might be able to make them INDIANA deer legal if they are long . After all I have the 200 and 180 core locs and they do wonders. I might just try the 250's in the 35 rem with trimmed brass to 1.8 inches. So far I can get 2.65 inch groups open (Peeped sighted) with the trimmed brass and under 2 inches with regular brass so the jump to the lands costs me a bit. Maybe it these are long I can get the crimped to the correct OAL. I did bend a neck messing around with the trimed brass. One out of 15 is not bad and they were several shot 35 rem cases anyway. www.midwayusa.com/product/979060/blemished-varmint-bullets-22-caliber-224-diameter-35-grain-polymer-tip-spitzer-box-of-100-bulk-packagedwww.midwayusa.com/product/324450/blemished-bullets-22-caliber-224-diameter-55-grain-soft-point-box-of-100-bulk-packagedI am not needing supreme ammo here. I just need some range and Coyote ammo and the deer stuff But most likely I will just use the 44 mag with my reloads again this year anyway. OH i got 3 boxes of the 9mm FMJ for some loads for the pistol but we will run those out on the neighbors progressive dillion. No use in wasting time of 9mm plinkers when I can just crank them out.

On the 250 grain 35's in a 35 Rem, I have to wonder if that bullet will expand on a deer at the velocity a 35 Rem will push them. The 250 grain 35's were designed for the 350 Rem Mag, 35 Whelan, and 358 Winchester. All of those will push a 250 quite a bit faster than the 35 Rem will.

I do know one thing about the 35 rem. It is a fairly good reloading cartridge and over at marlin owners some load them up to 275 grain and a few with molds a bit higher yet.
I have a varmint load with 150 grain core locs that will break every bone in a groundhog. The 200 grainers will punch through lots of soaked phone books.
At 28 dollars a hundred If they don;t work out Maybe i can trade them away for some 158 pistol bullets for 35 cal handgrenades.
I do think my 1.8 case trimmed down brass 35 rem reloading project is going to be a bust but it has been fun so far.
