Jeff has ben bow hunting deer this year and is his 1st year at bow hunting. Friday he was hear working on a deer blind he is bulding for rifle season. When evening came on he put on his camos sute and went bow hunting in a stand he has in the end of my mothers shelterbelt, after a while he was back and said he had just shot two deer a buck & then a doe about 30 seconds apart, and wanted my help geting them. We found the doe but not the buck before dark. Dressed it and hung it in the North end of my shop. Sat. morning jeff brings his dog to find the buck and does very fast so we dress the small 3x3 and load his doe and he goes home a happy man to butcher his 1st bow deer.
Jeff said the experance was awesome, as he says it all happened in total silence, shooting one and then the other, said he wated 5 minutes and climbed down and more deer were standing their.

It is a funny thing that sometimes the deer will just stand there and let you shoot multiples. Other times a single little bump and they are off like their tail was on fire.
I shot 3 with dad's auto 5 in 30-45 seconds. One down, one down and one down. None of the moved until shot. This was a state park reduction hunt. I was scheduled to hunt two days with 3 tags. I hunted 45 minutes in the stand and 4 hours hauling and field dressing deer.

The Buck was a lung shot and the doe was a heart shot, doe was easy traking on blood trail, buck left no blood that was ever found.
