Interesting. In that thread, they mentioned that RCBS stands for Rock Chuck Bullet Swage. Fred Huntington, the founder of RCBS, was a varmint hunter, and a machinist. During WW2, there were no reloading components sold on the civilian market, so, Fred cooked up a swaging die set to make varmint bullets from empty 22 lr cases. . . . I've not seen cf cases ever used to make bullets before, though. Clever. Most ranges I've been to, 9's, 223's, and 7.62x39 are all over the place.

You need aheavy duty swage press to do it but it works. I don't know how much beeter it would be than a regular cast bullet though,as the brass case is a LOT tougher than jacket material and most commercial jacketed hp bullets for pistols are a 50-50 propposition.
