I heard the magic pixie dust used in the leverevolution rounds will be available soon to re-loaders in 1 and 8 pound containers. even lil gun does not get the velocity up like this stuff does. Just a rumor so far I have yet to see it in print.

I believe I saw somewhere- in a magazine- that Hodgdon will release 1 or 2 of those powders later this year, or early next year. Nothing on the Hodgdon website, though.

Their scheduled for release in 2011. Can't wait to see what they can do. Its the powder their using in some of the new Hornady loads and are supposed to give as much as another 150 fps. If its temp stable and works like predicted it will turn my .308 Win into a .30-06 without any more pressure and my .223 into a .22-250. Not sure I need or want any more speed as that just creates more wear on the barrel. Long barrel life is the reason I shoot both of those cartridges more than my other guns. I really have no need to turn my 7MM Rem Mag into a 7MM RUM and I don't know what the need is to make my .300 RUM go at 3350 with a 200 grain Accubond rather than the 3200 its doing now.

I am mainly looking at it for the 44 mag deer rifle . Would be nice to roll my own leverevolution rounds without the 1.50 each price tag. 20 rounds 29.88 plus tax.
WWB shoots out at 1700 FPS on a borrowed chronograph. The leverevolution factory rounds just top 2050 fps but are 210 grain. My hand loads do 18000 with h-100 in a stout load with 240. lil gun I have not shot out with a chronograph but it seems a little faster than the h-110. I would like to send 240's at 2000 to keep the football trajectory manageable to 150 yards maybe 200. if I could get the drop controlled on a 200 yard shot I would be one very happy camper. I don't think that I would be barrel burning at 2000 fps. I have noticed that the leverevolution brass is much shorter than regular 44 mag brass so I might be able to get a bit more powder in the case than their factory brass.
I think that my 16 inch barrel is the main reason the magic pixie dust is the ticket. To fast a powder as in a pistol powder and you get drag in the last 10 inches of barrel. To slow a powder and I have unburned powder just waisted with no gain on the speed dial just thrown away so to speak. lil gun is the best I have seen so far. H-110 is second best,
