With sadness I announce the demise of my beloved west highland terrier Syd, He fell Ill last week and I had him put down today. He was a great obedience dog, had over 15 deer blood trail finds to his name (about 7 would have not been found without him) several rabbit and tree rat hunts. A good dog who will be missed.

That sux man. It's always a huge bummer when you have to do that.
Dogs take a piece of your heart, and give you ALL of theirs in return. We make out on that deal EVERY time.

Man I can relate! I have not owned a dog since I lost Scooter, a Scottish terrier.

Ok the wife started looking for dogs for my youngest daughter this week as she is to that perfect age that she needs an animal. Six years old is perfect.
Imperal shih tzu's little 7 pound fu fu dogs.
to be a man in a house of 3 ladies is not fun.

My condolences as well. My dogs have always been like members of the family and, truth be known, I think I grieved more when our two beagles died than I did for many human family members. I also think it's worse having to have them put down.

Jmarriott, sorry to inform you, but, if it fits in a purse, it's NOT a dog.
