I live in Belle Fourche SD an avid hunter, game bird raiser and work with English Setter dogs. I raised shorthairs for a few years and just love pointing breeds and upland hunting. Thanks again to all

Nulle if you read this, do you know the people @ Hurley SD ? I see your into birds and dogs. Thought maybe you might know them. Also have you ever raised Hun's ? Bounce thinks they might be tough to raise.... Your thoughts ? www.olesensflyway.com/HATCHING_EGGS_NPIP_APPROVED.html

deputy d : I have not tried the Huns but have talked with a guy that has and it is a little more intensive then the other birds. Thanks for the link as I will be doing some business with them next year and see how it goes.

I guess what I have been told that when they are laying eggs you need to stay away from them or they will stop.? Where a person not keeping a breeding population and just raising the chicks I don't think there would be a problem other then they are expensive little buggers.

Yes they are expensive!!!!!!!!!! I'm gald to hear that raising them isn't or shouldn't be a problem. I don't want to gather eggs unless I'm gonna eat them....
