I have all the troops trying to get me one of those.
Anything is better than the one I am currently using. The tube is gone, the call was to high pitched to begin with, and it is to small. It still calls in tree rats so I want a better one.
I think that I am going to do some real tree rat reduction as they are invading several of the local horse farmers barns and houses lately. I have removed 2 sets from farm houses this year and we are talking red's not piney's or grey's. Red's seem alot more reluctant to nest in house and barms and those piney's will invade before you move in. All those live traps and working on all those off-air anntennas for digital TV lately has placed me in the attics of several houses. Of course I am always willing to help them out with critter control if they let me hunt the area.
RED, Everyone,
You have a full blown (Pun intended) invite to come to Pendleton Indiana after aug 15 and I will save a couple of the overrun areas. Heck any of ya just send me a PM. I would like to show you what a farm fed red squirrel size is. Heck last year I had a male running around a tree stand and you could tell from a far distance that he was a male. I am taking about nuts between quarter and fifty cent pieces.
Do you know why squirrels swim on their backs.
To keep their nuts dry.
