It got in the upper 50's this morning with no wind today. Good chance to get out before summer really gets going. I've noticed the mullberries are about a week away from being ripe. Killed 4, had the opportunity at 6 but could never get shots.

You guys must have a continuous open season on squirrels. Our early season here in Virginia doesn't start until some time in September, if memory serves me.

That's a Knight and Hale 4in1 --- unfortunatly it is discontinued. There is still a Knight and Hale 4in1 call with an amber colored neck. DON'T GET THAT ONE, IT'S A WASTE OF MONEY AND A SHADOW OF IT'S FORMER SELF. I don't know why they changed it.
This call literally does it all. * alarm chatter * bark * bark / whine (unlike most calls) *whine (by blowing on the call...which the manufacturer doesn't even mention. I just kind of played with it and found out it works great)
Jimh can tell you how good it sounds. He heard me use it last year.
I've been trying to find a couple spares but haven't had any luck. The entire thing should be black (not black/amber) and the rubber smooth (not textured). That's what you want.

I get alot of action from a barker. My little tube one the plastic tube is rotting. Nothing like barking right after getting set in and see them come running. Then all my father budddies use to rub nickels together to simulate tree/nut cutting.
I will keep an eye out for an all black one. I have a few knight and hale calls but there not for tree rats.

If I get the squirrel real close and I can't move (like he's climbing up or down a tree and I need him to stop) I'll just get some spit in my mouth, grit my teeth, and make that "nut cutting" noise myself. About 1/2 the time they'll stop depending if they can hear you or not. Jimh, little did you know I've been trying to find you one for the better part of 6 months for winning that contest last year !!! You just can't find these old ones everyday You didn't want anything, but I've been looking There may be an inbetween model - I don't know. Some pictures show an all black body but it appears the rubber tube is "textured" instead of smooth. The one I got 10 years ago came with a vhs video tape. I notice there is still some of those floating around but the video tape cover is different and the call looks different (though all black). It's so hard to tell from internet pictures and no one wants to help you Believe me, if I find some I'll buy as many as they have and we'll divide them up ! I just want an extra one incase mine gets broke or lost

Geez Red, could you make the picture a little bigger.... I hate it when it only takes 20 seconds to side scroll to the "reply" button. Maybe you could make it a little more blurry too.... ...... ;D ;D
