I don't want to take the credit for this idea as Scott brought it to my attention... Is that shoot open to the public to watch? And which city is that located near? For those who don't have too far of a drive (as if 700 miles isn't that far) , someone might be interested in staying and watching for a while since we're there.

Only shoot peaple who are stupid enough to bring out a in-line. All others are more than wellcome to watch, shoot, or tell tall stories. it's about 40 miles west of Creighton at O'Neill.

Hey Red, you could work up a round ball load and do some shootin'...... ;D...... Better leave that fake powder you use at home though.

I'll pass. You can't hit a paper plate past 50 yards with my rifle with a round ball or a conical.
Now if I can use a sabot, well that's a different story !

What Bounce is trying to say in his own way is it's a traditional MLing event. But visitors are welcome to come and enjoy.

I'm not sure about a whole bird (roaster style or with feathers on in a mounting situation). Perhaps one of you guys might extra room in your freezer at home that could get a whole bird frozen to start with and then we use the dry ice to keep it that way??? I can make room for freezing whole birds.

How are we sitting on the Turkey hunt ? Are any of you still planning on coming or is the economy hitting you in the pocket book to much ?

I'm going to try but as I've said it's going to depend on the timing of buying a house. If I can find one and have the deal closed, I'll go. Houses typically close in 30-45 days. So the "deadline" is aproaching rather quickly. If I'm in the middle of a pending contract, I'm probably not going to be able to make it.
We have a few weeks to figure this out. Luckily there's no drawing tags, making hotel rooms months in advance, etc. If someone decided a week out they wanted to go, they probably could. We obvouisly don't want to cut it that close because people do need to plan things in advance.
Again - if someone needs to have a date for work purposes, we'll make a date and stick to it. Just let us know if you need that.
