This weekend dad showed me something he picked up at Cabelas.
He showed me a probably a 1980's T/C Renegade walnut stock in a 54cal. Based on the rifling and case hardening, the rifle had never been fired except a few caps. It is in basically brand new condition except for the lockwork is all out of whack (which should be an easy fix).
You ready for this $100 ;D ;D ;D

I always thought the Renegade was one of nicest traditional front stuffers to come out of a factory. Get that lock fixed up and it'll make a great gun. And it is a 54 too, it don't get much better'n that....

One of the traditional ML's I used to own until I found out the barrel was too short for the STate's laws... The Renigade comes with a 26" barrel, Delaware's law says the barrel must be 28" long... so I got rid of it and bought a 28" Hawkin instead.
$100 for any Thompson rifle is worth the price... even if you do have to "fix it up" a little.
