This was a tip in Field and Stream or Outdoor life this month and it leaves me shaking my head a bit When you jump a rabbit, blow a whistle and it will often cause the rabbit to stop - thus you can shoot him in the head. What am I going to do, walk 10 miles with a whistle in my mouth No, that's dumb

It must be the high pitch that does it because I when we yell out in groups compared to just shooting when I'm by myself --- they act the same --- they just run.
I'd have to walk with a whistle in my mouth because I can't make a whistle noise.

My ole Dad used to do that... if the rabbit was getting away from him (without him taking a shot) he'd whistle real loud ... ole Mr. Bunny would usually stop in his tracks... then Pop would shoot him... it does work...
