My yellow lab ... Jack ... has bee going to "puppy boot camp" twice a week for the past 12 weeks to learn a little discipline... He passed with flying colors… he’s now pretty well trained as to how to act around other dogs and people. He used to get a wee-bit wild when we had visitors come to the house… jumping and sniffing and typical doggie stuff but now we tell him to get off and he actually listens…
I’ve been working with him on his retrieving stuff all along … but we had a problem with him sitting and waiting until I gave him the “go” command. Now he does it with little or no problem. He still wants to “go” but he does sit until the command is given….
The price wasn’t too bad either. The entire 12 week course was only $200…
Any of you guys ever bring your dogs to “obedience” training?

Molly spent about 3 months at puppy boot camp with Donnie and it cost me a lot more than $200 due to the distance I had to travel to get her there and back but worth every penny of it.

And you got a very well trained dog back!! I wish there were some pheasants around so you could bring her over. Maybe this coming year will bring more birds back into the creek bottom.
