well the last 2 weeks have been intersting here in the house hold. our 3 yr old lab has been puking about once a day, with the dog food scare going on i have been following the stories pretty close. i feed hed only purina one and there's no problem there but i keep looking just to make sure. sometime she'll puke up her whole meal about a half hour after eating it. the olther day there was a spot of blood in the mess so i put a handfull of it into a zip lock and took it and the pooch to the vet. now first off i have been in caontact with the vet while this has been going on but it is to the point i want things looked at. we're watching some things and if it doesn't stop then they may have to take a peak inside to see if there's something in there. except when she pukes you wouldn't know anything was wrong with her. she had a very slight temp when at the vet but very slight. her weight is still good (73lb) and actualy could loose about 4 lb's in my book. the vet gave her a shot of stuff to stop her from barfing and we have some pills to give her for a few days. i'm thinking she either ate some object or got into something outside that may be a tad toxic. it's just a guess on my part but then again i'm a "sky is falling" guy when it comes to this stuff. the next step would be to have her scoped, blood work and x rayed i guess to see what is in there.

i'm thinking a piece of plastic in there or god forbid a small battery. the other possibility would be she was eating some bad mushrooms/fungus of some kind as it has been wet out and they where popping up. but i don't think that would have lingered for almost two weeks. i have had landscaping done around the house and maybe she got into something from that. licked up some cement dust or on those lines. time will tell.
