Been watching this breed for years, but it has always been one of those hard to find breeds till now it seems. I've a breeder less than a days drive from me, and the price is reasonable. Considering I've developed quite an interest in hunting with dogs, these came back to mind. Tim

We use them a lot overhere ;D Dont now if you have seen the movie terminator, but these dogs are Its an small dog, something bigger then a jack russell. We mostly use them for driven game, underground for fox/badger, and the dogs love varmint (rats, cats, marten weasel etc) Its not really a house pet Here is pic of our 4 legged friends on a driven game day! Sometimes its hard to get them back after hunting day, so make sure you have an id on them!

I have noticed that some long line trappers and coyote callers use them and have pups for sale in "The Trapper" magazine.

Looks to me like their mostly bred to be hunting dogs rather than a dog around the house. Probably not what I would be looking for. Course Labs have a great disposition and great personalitys but around the house its like trying to fly a helocopter indoors. Their tails can clean off an end table or coffee table with one sweep and they never just sweep once. And if the wife wants to pet the dog and your next to them and the tail starts your going to get a beating.

If you wanna keep the varmints(including neighbour cat ;D) away from your house this right dog You can keep them in your house (you need to buy some new shoes from time to time)

Never Hunted with Jagd. Have had Manchester, Fox, Rat, & Scottish Terriers. Every Terrier I have had was pretty hardheaded to trian, but once trained never forgot. They can be difficulf to keep as pets because they need a lot of exercise, very active and very territorial(intolerant of intruders). Every one thinks he's 10 ft tall and Bulletproof, and would rather fight than eat. "Like an old Beagle they don't have no quit sense" I love terriers! ;D
