I just saw a banner on our website from the World Society for the Protection of Animals. The accompaning story talks of police in Cairo going through the streets shooting dogs. I can't imagine this referring to Cairo, Illinois so assume they mean Cairo, Egypt. I noticed when I lived in Saudi Arabia that arabs have a genuine fear of dogs, even little Pekes. I was dog sitting one for a couple weeks while it's owners were vacationing in the US. It's such a tiny thing I didn't have it on a lead. We encountered an arab woman on a street in our compound and she really freaked out. I was scared because the way she was screaming you might think I was molesting her (although she was unbelievably ugly and built like a bowling ball). Then I noticed you rarely saw a dog in the city of Riyadh. Maybe in Moslem countries they do indeed shoot dogs out of the populations fear of them. It's a damn shame, but I guess we're all creatures of our environment. Best wishes.

Just another reason not to like them I guess.
(Disclaimer - I do not dislike all Arabs. Only the ones that want to kill me and you.)

It's not hard to see why arabs make such excellent terrorists. They are toroughly convinced that getting killed while dispatching an infidel (all-non arabs) will result in your going to heaven post haste where a heap of young virgins await you and are willing to meet your every wish. Actually I'm almot surprised Red doesn't greet everyone with "allah akbar." instead of good morning. It might be what he's been secretly hoping for. Ye gads, did I actually say that? Best wishes.

Hard telling what the links in the banner goes to. They are controlled by google and proboards. For instance, you click into the "hunting dogs" forum. Google recognizes the keyword "dog" and often shows the banner ads with pet links or link descriptions. Frankly, I wouldn't click into these banners. Fortuantly, we won't have to deal with the banners in a day or so as I have made "arangements" for the advertizing to go away in favor of a banner of our choice. Details later when I can write them down.
Could be Cairo, IL. I passed through there one time; that was enough... ;D
