13 year old Lab named Maggie. I have had her 12 1/2 years. I got her from an Air Force Captain in Hawaii when I was there in the Navy.
We took her in at 7:00 PM last night. She went very peacefully.
She had cancer very bad and had gotten to the point where she was no longer living a comfortable life.
The wife if pretty broken up about it.
We'll miss her enormously.

I feel ya Jabba. I'm sorry for your loss. I have my old girls collar right here by the computer just reminds me of all the days we spent together in the field. Not sure you can ever replace the empty spot but the good memories do help! Best,

I don't think you can ever fill the voids from the lost ones. The only thing we do is create another spot to also someday become a void. Would I go back and never have had the experiance. NO, My only wish is that I have plenty of more opurtunitys to have enjoyed those that create new spots in our hearts. My only hope is that when I become a void that I meet again all the voids I have learned to love.
