Try to avoid the houses with the red lights.
I shot a few cotton tails while I was back in Eastern SD.

Ammo and bail money...and snow chains If by chance we don't get caught doing a felony (notice I said caught), you won't need the bail money...in which case we'll go to the gas station and spend it all on beer, beef jerky, and porn. ;D

At least in MO you won't have to worry about getting arrested for hunting on Sunday!

well i have guns packed (my O/U & .243 as we may try to call a yote first thing in the morning) ammo and liscens packed. we are suppose to get a few inches of snow late tonight into tomorrow morning so Red told me not to hold my hopes too high as they may be all holed up. heck i'm thinking a whole afternoon without yelling at the midgets or the wife yelling at me, who cares if i don't see one friggen bunny :-)

Yeah, we're going to get some snow. We just got 1/2 in 30 minutes with another 15 hours of the stuff to fall still. We're going to get a later start than we wanted to give the roads a chance to be packed down a little. So either coyote or rabbit hunting is going to be shorted by about 2 hours. Going to be hard to tell if the rabbits are in holes or just sitting tight. There isn't going to be tracks either way on account of the snow will end around noon. MY guess is we're going to have to step on them to get them to move. I don't think we'll have the same problem with coyotes as I image meals are few and far between the last week or two. I just can't decide what gun I'm taking for coyotes. Either going to be a 7mag with 150gr power points or a 12 gauge turkey full with 3 1/2 #6 turkey mags. The shotgun should probably be ok out to 40 yards. If the hunting sucks I guess we can always make a snow fort and then blow it up ;D

5 inchs of fresh snow that ended right before daylight. So if the rabbits are out we should be able to see tracks.
Time to get stuff ready b/c it's a go !!!

well we did find one rabbit at that place. here is a picture of PBR with a trophy bunny. he shot it 3 times with his remington just to put it down, tough bunnies here in the midwest you betcha. anyway we walked long and hard today and this was the only action we got. we tried calling for some yotes but nothing responded, this one lone rabbit was all we got. on a side note Red is the most persitant beagle i ever saw. it was a great day just not very productive, but not because of lack of effort on our part. Donnie you would have apreciated our effort, just think back to day 1 of the pheasant hunt.
