Many years ago, when I started ML hunting, I bought a TC Hawkin 50 cal..... I used it for years and killed quite a few deer with maxi-ball and 100 gr of FFg ... well, when the in-lines came out, I sold it to my brother-in-law for a paultry $300 ... I bought a couple nasty ole in-lines ... before I bought the one I have now .. the Remington 700 ML.... The last time my old ML was shot was the last time I shot it... my brother-in-law never shot it...
Due to some shrewd negotiations I've agreed to buy it back for the same amount I sold it for.... I'm happy, he's happy and I can hunt in Nebraska some day without worry of 2M's, Bounce and DD taking me out for using an inline ... LOL ...
It will be good to have my ole ML back in the gun locker...

No, no, no, no, no... You can't mingle with the enemy and then come crawling back to us thinking we're going to welcome you with open arms. And it sounds like you're going to buy another inline from the other thread !!! I think Bubba's a spy God help me the day I break down and buy an inline ;D ;D ;D

Sounds like a good deal to me Bubba! I am a traditionalist myself and can't imagine an in-line ever being as much fun to shoot. I have to admit there is a Ruger 77/50 in my closet.... Not mine mind you, my sons. He and I have gone round and round about the inline VS Traditional . Alas when ya get two stuborn Scots with their minds set together there will be no agreeing. He had a friend who had a Ruger for sale and wanted $175. His friend had told me there was nothing wrong with it, but he had ,had a problem with it one season and bought a TC. And no longer had confidence in the Ruger..... It had been sent to ruger for repair . Brian is supersticious?
So one night I get home from work and this rifle is laying on the bed. Wife said "Bailey wants you to look it over and tell him what you think". Well I looked it over and it is slick as a whistle, so I told Bailey if he really wanted an in-line he would get no better for the price. He did ask if I would like to shoot it, I told him if he would set it out about 50 yds I'd give it a shot ;D

Red... I just don't want to go to Nebraska and get linched for using an inline... I am going to buy both ... I do like both ... I've NEVER said I was against traditional ML's ... just that the technology is here and isn't going anywhere ... and being a "techno-nut".. I would RATHER use an inline ... I've killed my share of deer with both ... both have a place in our sport ... If I'm hunting up close ... 100 yds and closer... I like the Hawkin... if I'm hunting in fields or where my shot may go over 100 yds ... there's no gun I'd rather use then an inline... (while muzzleloading that is)...
