Hmmm. My inline has a screw to do that. I have never had mine fall out. Good luck Red. I'm sure you'll get some good advise here. Jabba

It shot ok. I clipped the side of a soda can at 35 yards. It may even be laying in the parking lot...
I think these wedges are pretty much universal (if it's long enough). Before this winter storm hits I'm going find out if the piece off a cva hawkins fits my gun.

Oh file out a wedge, don't mess with the tenon

Yep, a hawkin fit my gun but I'm going to have to file 1/8 to 1/4 inch because it's too long.

That wedge should fit tight. If it is loose or if you can move it by hand you need to tap (I repeat TAP) the loop on the bottom till the wedge drives in snug. Track of the Wolf has extra wedges in all flavors and i usually carry a spare with me when hunting. You will often see an old gun wrapped with rawhide, this was the mountain man's duct tape. I usually have a full reapir kit that I keep in deer camp as every time out somebody breaks or loses something. Remember the wedge needs to be long enough to get good bearing on the far side of the stock, don't cut it off flush.

It's tight now. I actually wrapped a single layer of scotch tape around the wedge and it really tightened it up.
Muzzleloader season is over till next year so it will probably stay that way till then ;D

I guess a true redneck can utilize any tape...in a pinch... ;D And I can't imagine why you would want to fix it properly now when you know that Scotch tape will be readily available on the eve of next years season...
