nah, not likely
I look at using such "rifles" as these as about the same thing as people who did not have proper bringing up in centerfire rifles. For instance, a guy I know in the Colorado Rockies never had a rifle bigger than a 6mm Remington. He usually went to the store to buy some bullets (whatever they had) and went Elk hunting - sometimes he would use a 220 Swift with 48 grain bullets. He hunted all his life and placed his bullets well but thought an elk required multiple hits to go down. He was under the impression that anything larger than a 6mm would kick too much. A friend of mine had a 280 Remington built on a Mauser action (I used to own it and I built it) with my handloads. An opportunity arose where this former guy could shoot a elk cow (he had a tag for such) and he did not have his rifle along. He decided to try the 280. When he shot, he shot the cow through the shoulders and it dropped like a rock. From that day on he was a 280 fan. He said that didn't kick - he was amazed.
People who spend good money on guns like these at least are not going to be under gunned. But IMO are more like some guy who would show up at the motor cycle rally in Sturgis wearing pink leathers. If it doesn't bother that guy. Well it is good for a laugh for others.

Well I find myself quoting the late founder of this original site, Don Goins, "It's not the gun's fault" (as in - the gun has personal attributitions and feelings) AS most know, I am an advocate of "primative seasons". Muzzleloader seasons were set up for hawken, Penn, etc style guns. It was set up not only for deer management, but also being a social structure if you will. You let all the crazies go out and blast crap with the centerfires and in exchange we'll take what's left with inferior guns and freeze out nuts off for a little peace and quite. Fair deal, but it didn't last after Knight came along. I applaud the states like Colorado and Penn for holding out so long and I guess I really can't blame them for throwing their hands up in the air and saying " it
