seasoning is a well & long used term in muzzelloading, while it may not be true seasoning the term fit's and will stay in the sport and is a natrual prosess that we all use around hear to keep are guns shooting well. Basicly for us it's useing Young's lube for every thing, clean a bore, use youngs lube after, going hunting, wipe with fresh youngs lube before loading. use young's lube on every patch when loading, clean gun with HOT water, dry, use young's lube to coat barrel for storage, if not useing gun again for a while use young's lube again after 3 or 4 weeks etc. that is seasoning folks!! and the best that I know of.

I do the same thing. I don't call it "seasoning" though. I call it "making sure the POS don't rust" ;D
