OK I don't want to start re-hashing old trash but.......................Why don't people just call them what they are...IN-LINES not MUZZLELOADERS!! There could be an IN-LINE season just for "them" and no-one would have to be upset. And there could be a MUZZLELOADING season for the rest of us!! BTW we had to fight tooth and nail for MUZZLELOADING season so I would expect the IN-LINERS would be willing to do the same and not ride on our coat-tails......................... JMHO What do the rest of ya think???

What do the rest of ya think??? I agree with you, but I'll offer this opinion as well. If we did get a traditional season, how long would it take for everyone to **** up that as well??? Even if there is no way to get away with making a high tech caplock or flintlock that bucks the system, do you still want all those people hunting with you that are simply "extending their season" I'm afraid the only answer to getting peace and quiet for traditional hunters is simply hunt small tracts of private land.

;D Red, I think Dep Don and I have already pushed the envelope with caplocks about as far as it can be pushed and still remain a traditional ML. When you start adding roller locks that give you really fast lock time and use a snail breach like I do. And a match grade barrel and double set triggers. Where is the edge that the inlines have. ;D

They do still load from the muzzle.
So are in fact muzzle loaders. I don't want to fight about it anymore either.
How about a "self built" season. That's what you really want isn't it? A season to yourself?

No Jabba, just an old time looking gun and not a space stick or an 03 with a sniper's scope. Pretty simple realy, but tough on the makers & pushers of the new & latest!! That have no concept of [Primitive] just a fools $

I do conced to you though that we [primitive] are lost in a sea of fools and is not worth any effert in further attempts to have something cool for all. So we will just hunt alone....smiles...

Now for me to say anything nice about an inline would be like George Wallace admitting to colored ancestry, but inlines are here to stay. Do you really think that the State of Nebraska was going to be content with the money they got from the first M/L deer season? What was it 68 hunters across the state? I don't have an inliine don't want one, if you do thats your business. Some folks have ugly dogs and some folks have inlines, de gusitbus. Right now we need to concentrate on getting shooters PERIOD, our sport is dissapearing along with our hunting ground.

That's what you really want isn't it? A season to yourself? Of course it is. It's only fair isn't it (at one time 10 years ago)? You had the choice - hunt with everyone else with a centerfire rifle OR Hunt by yourself but at a disadvantage I think that's fair. What I don't think is fair is the fact that a traditional muzzleloader season (a "special" season set up based a lot on the above statement) was ALTERED based on a technicality. Who would of thought in the late 80's and early 90's that scopes, sabot pistol bullets, clean powder, and primer ignition would be the norm??? There are a lot of people rolling over in their graves over this one... That's not what the season was meant to be
