A guy was telling me yesterday that XFL football was going to start this Sunday. I also recall seeing (but not really paying attention) to a commercial during the Super Bowl about the XFL. I liked the AAF while it lastd but remember not being impressed with the XFL when it was on before. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Unlike the previous XFL, this is going to be real football and not a circus show. Though my understanding is the rules are going to be a little gimmicky such as multiple forward passes.
There are several other leagues in the works the next couple years. As with many small leagues, money will be the issue. They make it for a few years and then come crashing down.

I saw mention of the XFL during the SB, too, but I thought it was gonna be shown on Saturday. I'll take a look, anyway - anything's better than watching soccer.

I watched for an hour and, to me, it was difficult to watch. A bunch of washed up NFL's (who 3 months ago were selling cars) moving in slow motion. If they want this to succeed, they need to make this primarily a developmental / minor league for players right out of college and those who are fighting to try for an NFL job.

I watched the Stl / Dal game and that like completely different from my first experience with Florida / NY earlier today.
I will probably have the xfl on as background noise on Sunday afternoon.

I saw some this last weekend. Wasn't NFL level play, for sure, but I beat the heck out of soccer.

I saw some this last weekend. Wasn't NFL level play, for sure, but I beat the heck out of soccer. Amen to that! I watched part of all the games and I thought that their play was certainly worth watching. Our local team, the DC Defenders, certainly did well. Like Red said, the dames next weekend will make for good background noise.

Watched some XFL last weekend. It brought home how important a good QB is in the NFL, and why teams will pay such a premium for a good one. The football I saw wasn't bad, except for the QB position - seems like none of the clowns the XFL has playing qb are any good at all.

I don't know Jack. DC's Cardale Jones looked pretty good in their 1st game and, though I didn't see it, must not have been too bad in their 2nd game as they beat NY 27-0.

Well, seemed to me the XFL play was getting better. . I think some time to play and practice together helped. And then came the Corona virus. XFL has suspended play for the rest of the season.

Yeah and I was just getting to the point where was looking forward to the games. All other sports, both college & pro, have been canceled or postponed too - asign of the times.

The XFL declared bankruptcy yesterday. Considering they had their season wiped out by the corona virus, not surprising. Too bad, though.
