The week started with the Redskins playing respectably, but losing to the Vikings, and ended with a yawner on Monday night - Miami and Pittsburg. Pittsburg started badly, but Miami managed to lose the game. On Sunday, most of the games went as predicted, but there was some injury news. On the good side, Drew Brees came back from his thumb injury and played well as NO won over Arizona. JJ Watt left the Houston game with a torn pectoral muscle and is done for the year - a big loss to the Texans. Joe Flacco, Denver QB, has a neck injury and may be done for the year - or it may be a career ender. In the NFC East, Philly played better than they have lately, beating the Bills. NY played ok, but lost to Detroit. Cincy is still winless, and has announced they will bench qb Andy Dalton, and play a rookie they drafted this year.

Well, at least the Washington Nationals won the World Series. That will help DC fans live with the horrible play of the Redskins.
