Nice heavy 8 point! I really like symmetric racks
Mine this year was a perfect 10, about as heavy as yours but not as tall or wide

Still wonder if this is the buck I shot. Trail camera in same area. Tiny pic seems better at image hosting.

A tiny pic shot of the same one I sent on imagur. This was the opening Sunday. Saturday I saw a doe at dawn was in a tree stand and the wind was very heavy all morning made me sea sick. Plus I had a heck of a cold and the craps. It rained steady from 10:30 till after dark and I went home at noon or before. Woke up Sunday very early but still sick as a dog. Threw up stunk up my the bathroom and basically woke up all the family stumbling around getting ready. No coffee just grabbed a big old water bottle and left. Drove the old truck to a low spot in the field and grabbed the 308 instead of the 44 mag. I watched the area and slept all morning long off and on more off than on. The deer came out of the woods at 1:30 pm. I snuck out of the truck loaded the mag into the rifle racked a round. Walked up to a fence post and fired a well placed shot at over 100 yards. 130 steps to where he landed but he did not run much. It was the weirdest hunt ever. I have never just drove into a low spot in a field and slept in the cab of a truck. Sick is sick but I should have most likely stayed in bed but you can not tag a deer from the bedroom and after opening weekend they get scarce around here. I need to look at getting a crossbow as my shoulder hurts shooting the regular bow after about 20 shots. I think my rotator has a nice bad spot on it. Plus my bow is still my old PSE from 1995. I am hoping that I can shoot it enough to mess it up again as I paid my 130 dollars for lifetime everything warranty and my last cam took them 6 weeks to track down. PSE might just offer me a nice compond discount on a new one.

I have a probably 12 year old Diamond bow. Nothing wrong with it, just needs strings and cables --- not worth the $200+ to ever get it running again. Eventually I'll probably just end selling it and the hard case for 150 bucks and putting it towards another shotgun or rifle.
I have a crossbow and will never go back to a compound. It's like a rifle - put it away and the following fall you'll probably hit the bullseye on the first shot. They are loud though, you wouldn't want to shoot a deer at 35-40 yards unless it was completely relaxed.
