With a little over 3 weeks away to leave for Texas things are shaping up. I managed to get the truck detailed (in the heated garage) to get ready for loading the camper in the box. Single digit temps allowed the ground to freeze again and I got the camper on in a 9 degree morning. Because I needed to drive a little on the lawn the frozen ground made for no ruts, The boat also moved from its spot in the back corner of the garage to the truck winter spot in the garage. Most of the fishing gear is loaded is loaded in the boat. I need to find some additional time on the range and hopefully the weather will cooperate. The 3 day hog hunt is all set for the 14-15-16 of April. We plan to get the bass boat out fishing but no firm time has been set yet. We are back from Texas and hit 11 states on the way down and the way back. Ended up fishing Canyon Lake. Choke Canyon had too many gators and were concerned about the dogs swimming and becoming gator treats. We didn't catch many fish but had a good time. Went hog hunting and didn't see any. I saw one javelin at 400 yards in a 30 gusting mph wind. I didn't take the shot. We did enjoy feeding deer by hand at the campsite on Canyon Lake and visiting with Bridgefarmer and his family for a couple weeks. We had fun.
Now it is time to get ready to head to Alaska at the end of the month.
