I killed a 18-19 pound female with the shotgun this year (very first time I used an electric caller actually) and I'm making the 2 hour drive this morning to drop it off. The pricing ranges from $400-1100 and you generally get what you pay for. I had a guy lined up for 600 but after looking a less than average deer mount of mine, I've decided to go straight to the best in the state and one of the best in the country. I'm going with this pose and hopefully it turns out just as good.

Wow, that will be nice! It will be worth the cost over the years as you will enjoy looking at it and reliving the experience of shooting it.

Thanks I struggled with the pose as I generally like to have things mounted the way they came in --- in this case a stalking left to right side only profile. While I know she could have done a great job, I didn't want to spend this much money and only see 1/2 the face. If the head was turned, I felt like it was not realistic to keep it in full stalk mode glancing in a direction opposite it's prey. But I think the pose I went with will be beautiful and honor the cat. Did I mention she does not use commercial manikins and cuts the eyes according to the specific cat's face

Those are impressive mounts! If yours comes out anywhere near those, you'll love it!
