Dove season opened last Saturday, here in Georgia. Good weather and lots of fun. Darn those things are hard to hit!

The doves seem to be here in Missuori based on the number on the powerlines. It seems our season is very hit and miss with most years being total misses. Oh well, I don't have a spot to go anyway and I'd probably just assume to go squirrel hunting...
I would like to go to Texas or Argentina some time though!

The doves around here love power lines. I think you have to find a place where a field is being planted for doves, i.e, millet and milo. Cut the field a short time before the season and there are a ton of seeds on the ground that attract doves.

Dove season here also opened this past weekend. I went scouting the weekend before to really the only place we have to go. The corn was still fairly green and of course had not been cut. Looks like it will be a while yet. I did see a few birds on the power lines, but in an area where we can't hunt (as you might know). Well the early season is in until the 1st of November, so we should get some shooting later. It will be cooler then anyway. Hope the rest of you have some luck.
