What's everyone's thoughts on this shotgun?
I've been looking at a lot of semi auto shotguns and this is by far the best fitting one for me.
The aluminum receiver is not blued (I think the barrel is); the receiver is anodized. How does this type of finish hold up over the years? After 20-30 years, is this going to look ok?

"....this is by far the best fitting one for me." There is the critical factor, right there! If it fits you, you'll hit with it. If the gun doesn't fit you, you'll always struggle to hit consistently. My guess is that the anodized aluminum will hold up better than blueing over the years.

I had two A-5'S: A 12 ga. magnum and a 20 ga. lightweight. Both were apparently incurable jammamatics. I took both of them two several gunsmiths over the years and none could correct the jamming problems. I sold the 20 and traded the 12 in on a Remington 1100 magnum. It was the best thing I ever did. I have never had the first problem with the 1100. I will never own another A-5! If you want a good, dependable autoloader, get an 1100. You won't regret it.

This new A-5 is a completely different action, and works a different way than the old A-5's that were around for so long. I am only going by the websites, but I think the new A-5 uses a system similar to the Benelli.
