My father went to a garage sale and they had a strange looking leather gun case a takedown. It was brown with wooden blocks covered with white plush stuff and it was small. They had 5 dollars on it he offered 2.50 and they took it. That Sunday he came to my daughters softball game and gave it to me. I threw it in the trunk and this morning I got to get some salt out of the trunk and their it was so I brought it in and looked at it. Had numbers 1815 on it and I remembered that the browning takedown 22 had a case a lot like it. Looked it up and sure enough a sa-22 browning fitted case.
I stopped off at the store and got a couple of Camphonal stuff for the weird closed up case smell and took it back to my father. He has a sa-22 that we picked up at a show and sure enough it fit right in the case. We looked up the price and about 180-375 used/new so that added so value to the sa-22 . He had purchased a case for a rifle that he owned and did not even know what it was for. Lucky guy.
I really want one of the old wheel sights for the gun but since it is a japan browning I do not think they were available. Nice gun. Nice carry box. He has original box paperwork and trigger lock. Would be a great Little glossy tree rat gun.
