Ok so I'm being a good neighbor and I'm cutting my next-door neighbors grass tonight when low and behold I run the mower right over a yellow jackets nest. I knew I ran over one when all of a sudden I felt like I was being zapped by a electrical outlet over and over and over all the while these little buggers where swarming all around, over and inside my clothes. I am treating this with a combination of ibuprofen and Boulevard IPA. I hate those friggen bastards!

Whoa, glad you aren't allergic. I have a fellow here on the street dept that has to carry a syringe and if he got stung multiples he would just roll over and die. I have had to poisen out a batch of nests for him over the years.

Deb found a nest in the yard while mowing yesterday. She didn't get stung but told me about it when I got home. At about 9 last night I went and put a pickle jar over the hole. They were not happy about it this morning but will be dead in a few days. Their weakness is two fold. One they all come home at night. Two, with the clear glass jar they can see the light but they will die trying to get out and not try to dig a new entrance even though they could. Very cheap, no bug killer or gas. It has worked a number of times for me with yellow jacket nests in the yard.

Gee and I just got in 5000 rounds of old Remington Yellow Jackets, I suppose you wouldn't want them either?

I was cleaning out the pool i worked at in the fall. We were doing a super duper clorine treatment and getting ready to drain it. I had a mountian Dew can sitting around the picinic table and got very thirsty. Needless to say there was one in the can. Smack right on the lip.
I went to the hose and washed it off and still being thirsty drank at least 4 mouthfulls of highly clorinited pool water draining from the pool. rather stupid.

Got to admitt i can think of a ton of stuff to do that would have been smarter. hope you're alright. that pool water might just clean out your system today.

I have no idea what hit me this weekend, but they hit me good. I was fishing and there was too many people around to just pee at will, so I walked up to the concrete outhouse. As soon as I close the door and it gets dark, I start hearing this buzzing and start getting stung. I couldn't get out of that thing fast enough.
