If cabelas has it won't be long till the gun club or profire has it. Might be an Indiana thing as pistol caliber rifles are deer legal now. H110 is great for full power mag loads. I don't like the hazmat fees.

After all this time you still can't get any handgun powders around here like W-231, Unique, HP-38, Bullseye, etc. or .223 suitable rifle powders like H-335, IMR-3031, etc. It's been like 3 yrs. now since you could get these powders. There are endless gunshops around here but none of them have any of let's say the most popular powders. How is it with you guys?

Same here, Dovehunter. I haven't seen WST in ages - my 45 loves the stuff. Pistol powder and powders used a lot in 223 seem to be constantly in short supply. A lot of slow powders seem to be available, if off and on.

I have actually seen WST around here. I've never tried it. Well any port in a storm. I think I'll check some of my loading manuals to see if some of the more obscure pistol powders will work in our guns. Only problem with this though is you will have to go through the process of working up a load all over again. Well, if that's what you have to do...

Dovehunter, WST is one of the powders I use for 45 ACP wadcutter loads. I use AA#2 and AA#5 also. The AA'a are ball powder. WST is a flake powder. My 45 likes the WST loads a lot.

I looked in my Lyman #49 manual and couldn't find many loads using WST. There were, however, some loads using WSF for all the calibers my son and I currently shoot: 9mm Luger, 38 Spec., 40 S&W, & 45 ACP. I seem to recall having seen some "AA" powders on shelves, so I may have to try some of them too. Reloading these days is becoming more and more of a problem.

You have to be more flexible, for sure. And it's a pain to have to work up loads because you can't find your regular powder. I have noticed that Norma powder is more available now. Western Powder is importing and distributing Norma now. I got some Norma MRP for loads for a friends 270 - nice powder. MRP is a stick powder, but not great long grains like 4831. Haven't tried any Norma pistol powder.
