Update: the rail and rings combination worked perfectly. that scope looks good on the full stock model and should prove to be a great tree rat rifle. 2 rimfire rifles done, and my last one just may get the bedding done this weekend. work sure knows how to screw up a guys fun at times.

CZ and marlin. What next in line getting bedded.
The model 52d i looked at and the winchester thumb trigger got traded off to a shop for a couple of SIG pistols. I wish I had bought the thumb trigger instead of the marlin 1894 c when I saw it.
In poor condition the thumb trigger winchester was 500-600 and in the shape it was in (Slight hairlin crack in stock at hand area Was worth over 1000, I know he had no idea of the worth, The gun shop traded a used sig 238 (about 500-600) and a used sig 226 (about 700 -800) for the pair. The sights on the 52d were worth a good 400 alone, Well sometimes you just miss out.

CZ and marlin. What next in line getting bedded. . I'm installing some SS pillars in my M77/22 stock and then I'm going to skim bed the action area and recoil lug area. Barrel channel has been sanded out and resealed already. I'm going to be using Devcon plastic steel bedding.

I have a friend with a synth stock 77/44 that seems to give him fits.
I never have a problem getting it to group well but he swears that as the temp drops (Think November deer season with highs of 70 and lows of 15) It changes Point of impact. I think he just uses the rifle point of impact change to cover up his BUCK Fever problem. He is a rather new hunter just 3 years into it.
Is your 77 the wood stock one or plastic like his. He has an all weather 77/44 and for a bolt I shoot it well.

I have the SS all weather barreled action set into a factory walnut stock. Looks and shoots good. It is topped with a Leupold rimfire scope.

I am finally getting a scope for my model 39a that is not made in china.
I am going with a vortex Crossfire II 2-7 rimfire.
Have been using a cheap old 3x9 I had got in a trade and took off. Should have it in a month as I am to cheap to pay shipping yet I will pay 10 buck and 3 parking to go to the gun show.
I am also getting a diamond back vortex 6-18 AO but I can not decied if it will go on my Kimber 82g or if it is just going to stay a peep sight rifle. I have a few rem 700 heavy barrels than need a good scope so with warne QD rings I am sure that one will move around a bit. The 2-7 is going to stick on the model 39a if I like it for a long time,

Well shot the Ruger yesterday and things went well. I have the barrel fully free floated at the moment and I plan on shooting it a bit more as is and then deciding if I should bed the first 1" of the barrel at the receiver. Later I will also experiment with a pressure pad in at the front with a piece of inner tube under the barrel at different points to see if any of that has a positive impact or not. I will say I really need to have the crown cleaned up on it too.

Shot the rifle again today and was please to see POI not shifted after removing action for pictures and reinstalling. I did not bed the first 1" of the barrel at the receiver originally but I am bedding it right now as I type. I'll see if there is any improvement or not next weekend. I also plinked with the mounty today and the CZ, took the youngest midget with me and we had a good time. Tomorrow we're going back to shoot some clays.

Shot it again today after bedding the first 1" of the barrel near the receiver, I am very pleased with the results. It was hot out there today near 100 but I was still able to shoot some decent groups. Now to find some tree rats to try it out on.
