Well I haven't had any bullets or powder for my .223 since August. Have about 200 rounds loaded up but that won't last long on PD's if I get to doing some serious shooting. This week the delivery truck stopped at the store with a load of stuff and I managed to pick up 500 Nosler Ballistic tips and 3 lbs of H335 powder. I hope to have it all loaded up in the next month as I have over 3000 sized and primed cases ready to go. 500 bullets won't get them all but it will get me 700 loaded to start with so at least I can get one or two serious day trips in. My plan this year is to head over to Wyoming at least a couple times and get some real serious shooting in. I also have about 600 rounds of .308 Win 175 MK's to load up and enough Varget to do all them so at least I can get through till more come in. Looking forward to this summer. Could be fun.

I have a good amount of .223's already loaded up for groundhog hunting this spring and it's a damn good thing too. You can't find H-335 powder, small rifle primers, and .223 bullets around here. Hopefully, by spring the obama buying frenzy will be over and the stores will be able to restock their loading components. People seem to forget that AR shooters are not the only ones using .223 Rem. ammo.

I have 400 rounds of 222 rem loaded up and almost the same in 223. I use the 222 more. I shoot at more coyotes than ground hogs and we have no PD's Most will most likely end up in the backstop of the range.
Try find 5000 rounds of 1050 FPS 22 target ammo. The Kimber is wanting to play. I did find 140 rounds of CCI standard in an old range bag. One box of rem subsonic (But it has hollow point) and 33 rounds of rem target. All the other stuff i have is to fast for this one.

I still have around 2150 rounds of .22 RF squirreled away. 700 of it is the standard volocity Wolf Target Match that my Rem 541 loves along with my Kimber SVT. Then I have about 650 rounds of Remington Target. Then I think there is about 800 rounds of Winchester Supreme HV .22's along with a couple two or three boxes of odds and ends. Can't never have too many .22's can you.? I have more .22's than any other single caliber rifle/pistol.

...I have more .22's than any other single caliber rifle/pistol. Same here and, once again, it's a damn good thing, as you can't buy 22's around here now either courtesy of Obummer (I like your name for him).

I have 3 bricks of winchester wildcat that i got last year at a garage sale. I dd not shoot it because of the recall on wildcat and I have not yet checked the lot numbers. Winchester 555' and 333's I am setup and my marlin loves them in the bulk ammo. Maxi mag's , short cb aquila SSS and fast stuff I have lots of and I found 4 film canisters full of assorted stuff from tree rat hunting so it is not that I don't have a little stockpile. I had just gotten away from the standard or slow target stuff because until my CMP purchase all my stuff seemed to shoot high or hyper vel stuff well
My browning buckmark sillywet loves federal 510's and I have less than a brick left.
My ruger mark II likes the CCI min mags or maxi mags. This I am fairly well stocked on.
The ruger target rifle likes about anything but winchester wildcat was what we had been shooting in it because that is what dad had a ton of. It seems to like lead rounds where the marlin likes that 38 grain copper plated stuff and it works get on tree rats/coons.
I went through 4 ammo boxes 50 cal full of rimfire. I used to want to be looked at as a buyer at gun stores. When 22 were cheap I would always buy one box of 50 each time I fondled guns at a gun store. I am sure twomoons would like everyone that walks in to the store to buy something each time. I did the 22's for years but it is all High or hyper vel.
I will say I might be setup for 22 mag for some time. One ammo box is all 22 mag cci and federal 50 grain. Now Since dad has a kimber also we have to find some ammo they like. Wolf match, federal or rem target.
All rimfire ammo is gone from the internet.

Rimfire is gone from the store shelves also. ;D ;D ;D I was going to write Obummer and ask him to shut up about guns for a while as my ass is getting wore out from all the sales and trying to source more guns. This is verging on the side of ridiculous with all the sales. All I see is empty spots on the racks. One thing about it though and that is the fact that the buyers are starting to look at the higher priced guns more and more and now they are starting to go too. I guess even the collectors are getting the madness now. I don't know how everyone is paying for their purchases but when the credit cards get full and they have to pay the CC companies back I am thinking that sales are going to go to the bottom. That will be the time to catch up. Going to be a bitch then I am thinking.

I already scored a couple of deals on reloading stuff: two shell holders and dies that were purchased along with powder/primers and bullets ordered dec 13 then the CC bill came. His midway order was just the tip of the iceburg. The shell holders and dies went first, then the bullets came a week later. I did not buy the primers or powder. I got them at about 75% of what midway sell them for. Plus he knows he can use them again if he asks. The bullets are loaded. Not the greatest deal but he reloaded 500 round with them.
I am setup on centerfire for a while as i have little brass left in the bin. I do have 1000 or more 44 mag brass to reload yet. I am down to 100 rounds loaded and 4 boxes of WWB. I have a few boxes of winchester MPP and h110 and lilgun. I have lead semi wad cutters and some 240 JSP. Just need to get busy and find a new load. I might look at the 180 grain stuff as my deer ran to far this year when shot close.
222 rem was easy to load. 22 grains of h322 40 grain se sp's and cci primers. 3000 fps and accurate. Accurate enough I want to rescope the rifle with a high power scope. Never ending battle.
The guy I bought my reloading kit from must have loved the 44 mag and 300 win mag. There was tons of brass. I sold off the 300 win mag stuff as i don't have or need a 300.
I am surprised that the higher quality guns are moving now also. Mike my local gun pusher had a wonderful 270 browning Safari in his shop for a few years. Easy 95% sling and scope under 600 on the tag (price dropped to basically no profit for him) for the package. It sold finally on christmas eve. In other states it would have been gone long ago but we can't use it for deer. His 1911 all gone even without high cap mags. Old revolvers are gone also. He has little left and lots in lay away.

As bare as the shelves are I looked to see if we had any 9MM as I do not have any brass or bullets for reloading. Surprise, we had tons of 9MM on the shelf. Doubt I will have any problem with that at least. My shooting buddy has about 2500 rounds of brass and if I beg and hand him money he might part with a bit of it. He had been selling it and I think he was getting $30 per thousand for it. If a person isn't pickie about bullets you can pick up full metal case bullets cheap. Finding really good bullets can be a challenge though. As far as good .223 bullets in 50 grain like the Ballistic tips they are next to impossible and when they do come in you want to be on top of them or their gone the minute they hit the shelves. The PD'ers are grabbing them up like candy. Powder is now non existent.

9MM was the deal of the handgun ammo. It was much cheaper and more available. So much so that rifles like the marlin camp 9, Kel tec sub 2k and Rugers little 9mm carbine were abundant at the range. Followed by the rimfires and 38 shooters.
I use Winchester PDX1 For carry in 9mm and still have a box. The glock g26 loved them. The glock is gone but the ammo stayed. Federal HST 147gr +P was what I ran in the full sized guns fo SD. The lighter weight guns i used the lighter weight ammo in.
