I had one of these come in on trade today and it's like new. I test fired it and I almost forgot how much fun these little pump guns are. I may have to take this one home for the grandkids. The little gun is accurate and slick as the original Winchester witha 3 pound trigger. The only boo hoo on the whole gun is the front sight that has been replaced with a Marbles bead sight. The old dovetails for the Rossi's were oversized and this one has been tightened by the addition of a gob of solder. But they DID paint it black.

one of those Rossi 62's is next on my rimfire list after a 10/22. i just missed out on one this past fall at a fair price but that's what happens when someone prices it right. it gets sold fast!

I had one for a while and replaced the front sight with a globe front with interchangeable inserts and a rear tang sight. Shot well. I had it for a year or so and got rid of it for some obscure reason that I don't remember. Someone probably offered me more money for it than I had in it would be my guess. My favorite though has always been the Remington 572 though. I had one of the 572's growing up and always loved that gun. Dad still has it. Never found an automatic that it would not out run in speed shooting. Bought a 572 BDL and that is possibly why I got rid of the Rossi was to fund that gun but then got rid of the 572 in a trade on a saddle. I own another 572 BDL which has the fancier stock and it will out run an automatic also. Found that out at a Mouse gun shoot here a year ago. One sweet little rifle. Has a 2-7 Weaver on it and is as accurate as any .22 for hunting as you will find. Never could get the Rossi to shoot that fast. Work it slow and it worked just fine. Work it fast and you would hang up once in a while. Always left me wanting. The 572 will ruin you.

Yes we both had one, mine had a bead front sight and a tang sight from a Navy Arms gun. I traded mine for a heavy barreled Martini that I later decided was too heavy to use. I never had to shoot any gun faster than I could work the Rossi but then again I couldn't pump as fast as Bill.

My dad had one of the Winchester model 62 pumps. I killed a many a squirrel with it as a kid. It was a beautifully made little gun and shot great. I inherited it on his passing. It was in near perfect condition. Like Bill, I traded it off for something else (don't even remember now for what) and have regretted it ever since. I wish I had it back now.
