Going to the CMP Store at Camp Perry.
They will have the last of the rusty kimber 82g's of the 20,000 they had to sell. They did increase the price 25 dollars from 400 to 425. I think i am going to buy 2 unless i see a high power rifle i can't resist. they have 2000 left.
The long distance handgun scope just recieved it last 50 dollar payment last week (Poker WIN) but I am going to defer it for a rusty Kimber. 11 pounds, wonderful peep target sights, adjustable trigger, I bet they are all gone before thankgiving.

It is not a model 52/shul 150 or an annie but a nice starter for open sighted benchrest and local smallbore. For the money it would most likely be a 1000 or better gun if made today. The price jumped to 650 for them after the sold out last ime. It was made by Kimber of OR like the super america and SVT.
These were opened in the 1990's for inventory and some private made razor rifle cuts in the stock on many, they call them rusties but in fact the long term packaging turns a little red rusty looking. I will see about an excractor and spring and a main spring for replacemnet while at the CMP but i can get them from J@P.
Heck they are made to shoot at least .7 at 50. I hope to get it to do about .43 groups or better after (IF IT NEEDS IT) a trip to see two moons. I have seen them with messy crowns and rough match chambers, It might need lapped and recrowned to get those groups so don't need anything but a real long cleaning.
It is going to be a handpicked one that is why we are driving up 3.5 hours and back 3.5 hours with a 1 hour lunch break and 2 hours at the CMP. I found all my paperwork and have to find a notory and copy machine plus get one form signed by the Pres of the gun club tonight. Hopefully I can get one of the wonderful wood stocks and no rust/privite pyle scar.
