Far as I am concerned they should make them totally legal. After all they are suppressors, not silencers. It only makes sense. From what I understand you still should wear hearing protection.

Sure not needed on a 22, I tested a GSG with one and the loudest noise was the action and you could hear the bullet slap the target. A 9mm is a little louder but not much but I have never shot a 308 or such.

The tax stamp came through after 8 months and I am fitting a supressor to the customers gun today. I will take some photo's and give a review after it's all together. I can't believe the local Sheriff gave this guy permission!

Here it is in it's full glory. Not the most effective supressor made but it will cut the noise 50-60 % with subsonic ammo. Sounds about like a pellet gun. Attachments:
